- THE BOYS ABOUT NICK:
How would you describe Nick to someone who's never met him?
AJ: He's like, a really cool kid, and although he's 18, I'd say he's still very young at heart. He's so full of life and fun to be around.
What do ya think girls like most about him?
A.j.: I think his popularity has got a lot to do being the baby of the group, and generally his whole attitude. I think the girls really dig his personality.
Kevin: His hair and smile, I think, and the fact he's the youngest. They must like his voice, too. He's got a really great voice.
How do you know when Nick's in a bad mood?
A.j.: He gets very defensive. If you say, "Guys, why did you do this or that" he'll say "Why are you saying that, I didn't do it" and I'll be like "I'm talking to everybody, not just you. Why are you getting defensive-did you do it!?"
Can you remember the first time you met Nick?
kev: I met A.J. Howie, and Nick at the same time and I sang with them. Nick was 12 or 13, Howie was 19, A.j. was 15 and I was 21. I though they were very talented.
If you can't find Nick, where's the first place you'd look for him?
A.j.: In his room, Playing Nintendo, of course!!
Kev: He'd be in his room playing Nintendo or at a Basketball court somewhere shooting, or eating!!
Would Nick be a good boyfriend?
aj: Maybe not now, but eventually. He's still too young to take it seriously. Perharps I should ask one of his ex-girlfriends,"Whata happened, why didn't it las?" They'd probably say "He loved his Nintendo more than he loved me!"
Where would you take Nick for a birthday surprise?
Brian: I'd get him courtside seats for a Chicago Bulls basketball game, They're his favourite team.
Kevin: I'd take him to a computer store and let him buy a couple of video games, he loves the,. Or I'd take him to a NBA basketball game, he's totally into that.
Is Nick a good person to confide in?
brian: Yes, we're real close, y'know us, Frick and Frack! We're probably the closest out of the lot so we do a lot of talking. He confides in me and I confide in him-y'know it'll never leave the room.

What do you think Howie brings to Backstreet Boys?
a.j.: Well, aside from his vocals and his amazing talent for acting and dancing. I think he brigns a bit of tranquility to the band. There's also his sweetness, of course. He has a very positive outlook on everything, that's why we all call him Swett.D!!
Nick: most of the time he's very serious, but at times he gets more lighthearted. I think we all consider him to be the peacemaker of the group. He's also very smart, he's the clever one.
Kevin: Howie's just a real compassionate person. He's got a big heart, he's very sensitive. That's not to say the rest of us aren't, though!!! It's really good to have someone like that in the band.
Where would you take Howie for a birthday surprise?
Aj: I'd take him to Puerto Rico, He loves it!! It's where most of his family are from.
Can Howie keep a secret?
Aj: absolutely. I know for sure he'd keep everything I told him to himself.
Is Howie good with the fans?
Kev: He's great, he loves chatting to them. I think he's frustrated that he's so busy he can't do it more.
Brian: Howie's probably the best of all of us, he and Kevin have a lot of patience with them. Howie always tries to please everybody, even when he can't!!
How can you tell if he's in a bad mood?
kevin: when he doesn't say much, when he chills. He doesn't really get in bad moods, he just goes quiet.
Can you remember the first time you met Howie?
brian: Yeah, it was at a place called the Band House wich is a huge warehouse where we used to rehearse. Kevin picked me up at the airport on April 20, 1993, and he took me on the Band House where i was introduced to Howie.
What do girls like about Howie?
brian: The fact that he's very warm, generous and open, he always gets straight to the point and he's very positive. Weel, he's Sweet.D, isn't he!
Who would you set Howie up on a blind date with?
brian: Cindy Crawford or Louise, if I could hook it up!
If Howiewasn't a BSB, what would he be doing?
nick: He'd be trying to act. He's always been involved in acting and singing, so he might still be in a college studying music os theatre or something.
- THE BOYS ABOUT KEVIN...
Can you remember the first time you met Kevin?
aj: It was in a club called Celebrity and Lou Perlam brought him to see me, Howie and Nick singing. He was wearing a white polka dot shirt, jeans and a pair of combat boots with his hair slicked back! After the show we went back to Lou's house to get to know each other, then we all started singing together the next day. It was kinda shock!
nick: I think it was in a club where we were performing, and we'd arranged for him to come and see us. He's quiet a lot older than us so he seemed very mature. I was only 13 and he was 21. I liked him.
howie: Yeah, it was al the charity benefit and we met him trhough a friend of a friend. The next day we heard him sing and had a great voice, so he became a member of the group and we kind of bonded.
What's the Kevin's fave word?
aj: He says "whassup" the whole time for absolutely no reason at all!!
If Kevin was coming round for dinner, what would you cook him??
aj: Lasagne. It's my best dish and it's funny 'coz I'm Spanish, but I make really good Italian!
Does he ever annoy you?
He's too serios sometimes, he's a perfectionist. He thinks too much while we're tryin to have fun sometimes, but we've all got different personalities.
How do you know when Kevin's in a bad mood?
brian: Kevin's pretty hard to read when it comes his emotions, he's not all that big on expression. I think being his cousin, it's kinda easy for me, I can tell from the first comment he takes in the morning whether he's gonna have a good day or not. But I guess that goes for all of us, expecially when we didn't get good night's sleep, it'r difficult being around each other so much sometimes.

How do you describe Brian to s'one who'd never met him?
nick: a funny guy, very carefree and easygoing. He's the funniestin the band. Just when you least expect it he'll come out with some off the wall, crazy thing, something he might say, a face he might make, or he might just fall on the floor and start rolling around for not reason!.
howie: Wow! I'd say definitely a lively one. He's the type of person who can make you lauhg at any time. He's full of energy, and we tease him 'coz he's always doing something crazy, like screaming or giggling when it's a totally serious moment. It gets a little annoying around him 24/7-we know every joke he's going to come out with! But y'know, people who've never met him trip out! He also has a very serious side- he definitely knows what he wants in life.
Do you think Brian's change since first met him?
aj: I don't think any of us have, really, although we've all become more gifted at songwriting. Brian had never touched a guitar before the band and now he's pretty good, but he really practises at it. We lived together back home and he was forever playing the guitar, you can never get it away. It drives me nuts!!
howie: I think we all changed a bit. Just maturing, y'know? He's just sorted out what he wants out of life and he's learnt to look out for himself, 'coz you have to in this business.
So, what's been your funniest Brian moment?
aj: There's too many!! he does something stupidly funny every dam day!
Wich famous person would you compare Brian to?
aj: I hate to say it, but it'd be Marky Mark. We've met him a couple of times and they're very similar.
Who would you set Brian up on a blind date with?
aj: Jada Pinkett, If I could get her away from Will Smith for a while, he thinks she's absolutely gorgeous!
What do you think is Brian's most likeable quality?
nick: For me, he ability to be as young as he wants. 'Coz i'm the youngest member of the group, the others seem a bit older than me, but Brian's very young at heart. We play video games and basketball and sing together, and listen a lot of rap music. We have a great time hanging out together.
What's Brian's fave word or expression?
aj: He does thid thing where he does "pwrrrrrr" (blows air out of his mouth a bit like a hourse) if you tell him something he'll go "Pwrrrrrrrrrr! Yeah, right" It's a gesture, like if he doesn't belive something. He does it all the time, but he might not realise

How would you describe Aj to s'one who'd never met him??
brian: Watch out! I'd warn people that he's a very, very confident person.
What's Aj's fave expression?
brian: He's got this new thing where he says "See ya!" in a real high, loud voice. At the end of the interviews we all say "Bye" and he's like "See ya!" It drives us nuts!
If you can't find Aj, where's the first place you'd look for him?
brian: AJ's actually one of the hardest people to track down, 'coz he wanders around. Any of the others would probably be in the bathroom or their rooms or something, but AJ just walks around the hallways, or talks to people in the hotel lobby, he can get anywhere!
Do you think Aj would make a good boyfriend?
brian: I guess... not for me, but for somebody else! He's very easy to get along with and very giving, those are some of his best qualities. I think all of us would make a good boyfriends!
What's your funniest Aj moment?
The other night, when he fell down on stage was pretty funny. It was in Salzburg and he just wiped out on stage. The stage was wet 'coz we were doing outdoor venues, and there were, like, 35,000 people there, and his feet came right out from under him. He came running out and landed on his butt!!! That was funny. He wasn'r embarrassed, it takes a lot to embarrased Aj!
howie: one time we were in a garage at the bottom of the building that our management office has, and he got stuck in the elevator! He was gone for a good 25 minutes until we found him. We heard a little voice coming from the shaft saying "Don't breathe much, there's not much oxygen in here!"
What famous person would you compare Aj to?
Kevin: Bobby Brown, 'coz of the way he's on stage, y'know, his charisma.
So would you set Aj up with on a blind date?
kevin: Gwen Stefani. He's crazy about her, but he hasn't met yet.(now, he already met her)
Is Aj a good person to confide in?
Ummm, yeah. Normally I confide in my big brothers or my best friend. I mean, there are things I can walk to Aj and he'll understand, but there are things going on in my life that he hasn't been trough, or might not understand, 'coz he's younger than me.®
