The Cainites of Carthage
AnisGeneration:
4th
Clan:
True Brujah
Nature:
Chameleon
Demeanor:
Innovator
Anis
developed her special unique power of Temporis, shortly after her embrace. She
has taught very few people this unique disciplines, but her childer, Serapis,
seems to have developed it and has become quite adept. Originally from Phoenician descent, Anis was
embraced by Brujah for her beauty, elegance and adaptability.
In
Carthage she played a unique role, she loved her sire, yet she struggled against
his forceful away from hundred of years, until Troile was insighted by Moloch to create childer. Anis, although she loved her sire did not wish to turn her back against him, and when Troile asked her to learn Temporis at first she refused, but over time, she gave in after much pleading. Troile swore he would
not teach anyone. Anis’ loyalty is to Carthage, but her contant love affair with the Cappadocian, Lameth tears her away from her duties. She will attempt to follow him wherever he goes and vice-versa.
Now that Brujah is dead, she will
diverge from the Brujah forming a separate fraction, which will be helped by
Meneleus and Altimara.
In the
end, Troile used Anis’ gift to kill their sire.
Cybele
Clan:
Malkavian
Generation:
4th
Nature:
Conformist
Demeanor:
Enigma
Cybele’s
presence in Carthage is the most questionable. Although she is a Malkavian, she
cannot decide where her loyalties lie. What is known about her is that she
originally was part (leader) of a cult in Greece. More information can be found
in Kindred Most Wanted. Cybele’s loyalties
to Troile are confused, her motives are known to not one besides herself. She prefers
to remain a mystery if it would be possible.
KemintiriClan: Follower of Set
Generation:
4th
Nature:
Deviant
Demeanor:
Monster
Her
biography can be found in “Kindred Most Wanted”. In my Carthage Chronicle,
Kemintiri is the Sire of Antigone. She chose to embrace more out of spite, since
the 3rd generation Cainites refused to allow them to create
childer. As vengeful as she is,
Keminitiri decided at this point to seek refuge away from the cities, and chose
a peaceful existence in Carthage. Here she would be close to Egypt without
actually having anyone being alerted to her presence, seeking the remainder of
the Spell of Life. When things got worse in Carthage, and she needed
assistance, besides ghoul, she head of a rebellious childer of Brujah, called
Troile. She soon banded with him to illegally create childer, against the
expressed desire of Brujah, Ashur and others.
Troile
Clan:
Brujah
Generation:
4th
Nature:
Idealist
Demeanor:
Plotter
Troile’s
presence in Carthage had become a staple element. He worked along with Brujah,
creating an utopia for Cainties, but Brujah’s stubbornness in disallowing the 5th
generation to create childer began to spark the seeds of rebellion within him. Troile’s
idealistic nature made him especially susceptible to Moloch, not to mention
that Moloch and Troile shared their blood, bonding them together in an eternal
pact.
Moloch
or Baal Hammon Clan:
Baali
Generation:
4th
Nature:
Conniver
Demeanor:
Manipulator
Moloch
seized upon the opportunity to place himself as a god in Carthage, and played
upon the Cartheginan Cainites’ unwillingness to place themselves at the head of
a cult, afraid of the possible repercussions. Moloch saw only opportunity and
used it wisely. Although Carthage’s utopia is accredited to the Brujah’s
influence, Moloch created the atmosphere in which the Cainite’s thrived, with
little to worry about, never lacking in blood or entertainment. Slowly over time, Moloach was capable of
manipulating many influential Brujah, including Troile, his greatest achievement,
enslaving him with his blood, becoming lovers.
