History: Alistaire
Worthington was born into the family of a lesser noble in the British court.
As he had several older brothers, it was clear he would never gain his
father's title (or his interest of affection which was reserved for
Alistaire's older brother) which meant that Alistaire had a fair bit of
freedom in deciding his own destiny. At least, that's what he always
believed. Alistaire
spent a fair bit of his time simply enjoying court life with the other young
men and women. It was then he began to learn the subtleties of influencing
others. If an older boy would give him trouble, why should he get his own
hands dirty with violence when he could get a few other friends to do the
task for him? At
the age of seventeen, Alistaire's life was forever changed. Desperately low
on cash, a group of peasants came up with a plot to kidnap Alistaire's eldest
brother and to hold him for ransom.
The unskilled ruffians botched the job and ended up with Alistaire
instead. He was shocked as for the first time, his remarkable looks and
commanding voice couldn't help him. As
he wasn't favored by his father, it
was clear that Lord Worthington was not willing to pay the rather large ransom
that was demanded. To prove that they were serious, the kidnappers sent the
lord his son's left eye. Alistaire's
life would have been significantly shorter if it hadn't been for the intervention of a mysterious
figure. The cloaked form walked through the room and with but a glance at
each captor, made them forget the whole experience. Alistaire was freed and
until the time of his embrace, remembered little of his experiences. A
tougher Alistaire was born through those experiences. He took to learning how
to defend himself and while he would never excel at his martial training, he
at least had the comfort of knowing that no one else would be able to
victimize him that easily again. Years
passed and Alistaire continued to thrive in the court. It's not known exactly
how far his skills would have taken him as it was at that point that he was
embraced. Alistaire's
sire was an ancient Ventrue who lived beneath London. He rarely involved
himself in politics although he was known and feared by some of the city's
inhabitants. He had watched Alistaire develop and realized that the young man
could be a very valuable tool in achieveing his goals. Alistaire
was then instructed to go to Paris while posing as an exiled noble and to
learn about the kindred of Paris. He
was also told that further orders would be sent although he does not know how
long it will be before they arrive. Appearance: Alistaire
appears to be in his mid to late
20's. His classical looks are marred only by large wound where his left eye used to be that he usually keeps
covered by a custom made leather patch.
Oddly enough, he's found that rather then detract from his appearance,
the eye patch adds to it giving him a roguish appearance that he tries to
sometimes play up with his light beard and moustache. His
clothes are usually fairly well made although he prefers plain clothes that
can be used among the higher class as well as not attract too much attention
among the low. Roleplaying: He
acts the part of an exiled British noble forced to flee to France which is
his cover. He is very loyal to his sire and as such will do the best he can.
He believes the best way to gather information is attatch himself to an
active coterie and go along for the ride. He
sees himself alone far from home with few allies. He wishes no harm to any of
Paris's inhabitants and genuinely looks forward to meeting them. They will be the only one's who will be
able to give him the two things he needs. Companionship and information. Alisatire
believes that Ventrue rule of France will one day be inevitable but he will
see to it that those he considers friends will be protected. |
