LINC-OHIO
![]()
Languages in Central Ohio (LINC-Ohio) was formed in the fall of 1989 by Otterbein College and Olentangy High School and held its first meeting in February, 1990. We are a collaborative of foreign language professionals who teach in elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities in Central Ohio. We are part of the Academic Alliances in Foreign Languages and Literatures, a national group that started at Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York. In the spring of 2000 the Central Ohio Regional Professional Development Center offered its support to LINC-Ohio in order to better serve all language teachers in the area.
The alliance is devoted to promoting the study of foreign languages, to finding solutions to professional problems, and to sharing knowledge and teaching techniques. LINC-Ohio meets four times a year, usually in September, October, February, and April. There are no membership dues, and all foreign language teachers are welcome.
