Eur Ing C.M.Thomson MA MSc CEng MBCS FIEE CMath FIMA
but mostly I'm just Tom (Micheal 'sa Ghidhlig).

If you want to se what I look like, here is a picture.

I was born 5 Nov 1944, and I'm married with a daughter and 3 sons.

My personal/home email address is [email protected]

One of my interests (and the way I earn my keep) is computing. I used to think functional programming was a good thing, but then someone invented monads. Logic programming seemed a good idea, but Parlog isn't and Prolog has cut. Now I quite like OO programming instead, mostly because it's just a lot of modern jargon wrapped round the elementary rules of good practice that we all learned in the 1960s; but people seem to want to programme in languages that strongly discourage object orientation, like C++. Perhaps I'm getting too old and cynical for this business?

Another interest is the Scottish gaelic language, and its literature - particularly poetry and song. But if you got this far you already knew that.
