Icons

Icons painted on wood are a traditional art form exclusive to Eastern Europe. The techniques developed in the middle ages (12th - 16th Century) have been passed down from generation to generation. Modern day icon artists create these images copying the styles of the masters - the religious faithful. In addition to the traditional stylings, Jacek's icons are created to convey the old style and also the historic qualities including the beauty of the aging process.
