Dear Sean:
It  has  come  to my attention that  you were  involved  in a
demonstration on the evening of February 1, 1999 in support of
your instructor.   I appreciate your concern and do not dispute your
freedom to express that concern.  However, in this instance, your
presence within a classroom building resulted in the disruption
of a class which is a violation of Article XVII, of the Students
Rights & Resnonsibilitv Handbook

ARTICLE XVII -STUDENT CONDUCT AND DUE PROCESS

"A student's behavior at Macomb Community College must comport
with educational processes and should not disrupt teaching,
learning, or the orderly conduct of business.  Any misconduct
that interferes with the educational mission of the College is
a serious offense for which the student will be subject to
disciplinary action by his/her teacher and/or other College
personnel."

SECTION A

"No student shall conduct himsel~/herself in such a way as to
deprive others of an orderly atmosphere for study."

I am bringing this to your attention and formally warning you that
should this behavior be repeated in the future, it could. lead to
disciplinary action on the part of the College.

If you would like to discuss this matter further with me,  please
contact me at your convenience by calling 810-445-7408.

Sincerely,

Jim Varty
