 Witch hunt continues against dedicated
English teacher

I have had the privilege to be in professor John Bonnell's English
class. He's a dedicated, passionate teacher with a dramatic flare and
one of the most gentle persons I've even had the good fortune to
 know.

It seems the witch hunters are rampant again. I've heard worse
language from elementary school children passing my window on their
 way to school.

Bonnell's language was in context with his teaching. It did not offend
me or anyone else in the class. There was no hostile environment.

It was a difficult class, but I learned how to probe deeper into books I
had to read. He showed us how to understand the depths of the
written word and to dig into the content and better understand the
 author's works.

I believe a great injustice is being perpetrated on a man who has
 dedicated his life to teaching.

He does not swear at his students. That is the twisted viewpoint of the
narrow-minded. He is the finest teacher I ever had.
