Old Business:
- Volunteer Sign Up: A sign up sheet for various events that were discussed was circulated during the meeting.
- Fall Family Festival, Carnival: Thursday, October 10th from 6:00-9:00 pm. Volunteers are needed for games. Also a new co-coordinator is needed to help Michelle Pearson plan and run the carnival. Ideally he/she would be willing to be trained to coordinate next year's carnival since this is Michelle's last year at L&C.
- Masterpiece Fundraiser: Begins October 22nd. A coordinator is needed, please see Michelle Pearson. This year's sale includes soft pretzels, cakes, cheesecakes & cookie dough. In the past we have earned around $6,000 from this fundraiser. The Masterpiece representative brought cookies and prizes.
- Otis Spunkmeyer: A co-coordinator is needed to replace Michelle Pearson 1-2 Fridays a month. A Volunteer is needed to help bake and sell cookies during the afternoon 1-2 Fridays a month.
- Red Apple 1% Program: Two volunteers are needed to help collect and tally Red Apple receipts. See Melissa Lungberg.
- Scholastic Book Fair: October 7-14. Volunteers are needed during school hours to help students and cashier. See Aimee Zoske.

New Business:
- Playground Update: The ground cloth under the par course stations is coming up. A work party will be organized to fix the ground cloth and add more bark chips where needed. $300.00 requested to haul 10 loads of bark chips @ $30.00 a load. Voted and Approved.
- Reader Board: Volunteers are needed to change the Reader Board messages weekly. Each volunteer will be responsible for a 4-6 week period.
- Movie Matinee Program: A coordinator is needed to take care of the publicity and sale of movie tickets.
- Cross Talk: Irene Fuller requested $200.00 to purchase prizes throughout the year for the Crossing Guards. PTLC approved $200.00 last year. Voted and Approved.
- PTLC Meeting Minutes: There was some discussion about whether to continue to send the minutes home with students. Time and cost were determined not to be an issue. The consensus was that it's a useful way to inform families, so no changes will be made.
- Mural: Mr. Meadows is attempting to contact an artist to put this idea into motion. The proposed mural would be placed on the wall across from the Clark office. Talked about the idea of a Lewis & Clark mural to commemorate the bi-centennial of their expedition.
- L&C Shirts: Casandra Hylton and Katrina Clift are working together to make Lewis & Clark t-shirts available to families. Shirts will be sold at cost again.
- PTLC Computer: PTLC requested $20.00 for licenses to put the computer on line. Voted and Approved.
- Kids Night Out: It has not yet been decided whether we will sponsor a KNO this year. Further research will be done.
- McBride Overflow: Mr. Meadows confirmed that possibly four 1st graders could be brought over from McBride. Our five 1st grade classes currently average 20 students per class. One more student per class will have very little impact.
NEXT PTLC MEETING: Oct 8th at 7 pm!!
