Onteora '79 - Newsletter for the Class of '79 and friends

April, 2004

Hello to everyone,

We hope this month's edition finds you and yours doing well.  During the past few months we've been actively trying to track down lost classmates, but with our reunion now just about 14 weeks away our focus is shifting to the events.  See the sidebar on the right for the ways that you can help.

Since we are just about 14 weeks away, let's start off this issue by talking about reunion registration.

Registration for the reunion
We're excited to announce that we are prepared to begin taking registrations for the reunion.  The reunion dates are Friday and Saturday, July 30 & 31.  A reunion registration form will be posted and available for downloading within the next 7-10 days on the official reunion website:  www.geocities.com/Onteora79.  If you'd like to have a form emailed to you contact Dave at [email protected].

The only event that features a cost is the Saturday night dinner at New World Home Cooking-NWHC.  Space is limited, so don't wait until the last minute to commit.  The deadline for registration and receipt of payment for this activity is June 4th.

The number of people that register for this particular event has a bearing on whether our seating will be limited to 70 or 120.  It's a busy time of the year for NWHC so if you'd like to join us it's important that we receive your registration and payment by June 4th.

Support for the Reunion
This month we'd like to recognize Gina Giuliano and Paul Washington for their financial contribution to the reunion.  A complete list of donors can be found at:

Message to your classmates
Why wait for the reunion to reconnect with long lost friends?  Send a note and begin a dialogue.  There are two ways to do this.

1.  Post a note through our reunion website.  Click here to leave a note in our guestbook.
2.  Begin an email dialogue with other members of the Onteora79 yahoo group.
To subscribe send a message to:  [email protected].
To post a message once you're a group member:  [email protected]

Sample topics might include:
 * What prompted you to stay in the area (or move away from the area)?
 * Update on your spouse/significant other and your family.
 * Update on your career - how did you get to where you are?
