This web site was created for the Oak Park Computer Club but is open to all. Have a pleasant visit! This Computer Club is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led organization. It is sponsored by the City of Oak Park Department of Recreation. I will do my best to provide useful articles, information, and links. Due to the interests of Club members and makeup of our membership, this site is primarily focused on Microsoft Windows, but the spirit of adventure runs strong in me, and I will provide industry news and opinion links and information on open source and Linux (especially Kanotix and Knoppix) as well as the Apple Macintosh, if only to provide context to the computing experience. I feel that a philosophy of computing is as important as hardware and software; what does the future hold? Our Articles site is now on-line. For example, see the article Protecting Privacy in the Digital Age and one on viruses, Trojans, spyware, and adware: Dealing with Malware-- check 'em out! Our new BenQ DLP projector works great! I am continuously adding content to this site. Please check back often; your suggestions are welcome. I will also send out progress reports as Yahoo! Group Mail to the members. Club meetings are held at 10:15 a.m. every other Friday at the Computer Lab located in the Oak
Park Community
Center
14300 Oak Park Boulevard Oak Park, Michigan 48237 Thanks
