Yes! It is "Diners", since we don't meet only for Dinner anymore. At some point, we will change the website name as well.
Well, after an extended hiatus, we are again meeting in the North End! We had some conflicts with other events going on in past months, so we deferred for the greater good of the BBW community. However, we are now back and will be meeting monthly, usually for Sunday brunches.
Historically, we hosted dinners every Friday night for over 4 years all around Snohomish County. It became more and more difficult to get people up here, mostly due to traffic issues. In addition, even though we always asked for an RSVP from folks, we were never quite sure just how many would show up. That put a good deal of pressure on us, as we usually had to reserve space for a specific amount of people. We too often had to add tables or have latecomers sit somewhere nearby. If not enough people came, we would have to give up tables in a crowded restaurant. Either way, it was often an uncomfortable situation.
So, we decided to go to a monthly format. It had been Bimonthly when we took it over. We believe that it is much easier for folks to leisurely drive to our events when they don't have to face evening rush hour traffic, and not to be too tired from their workday.
Note that our get-togethers are family-friendly, unless otherwise indicated and are open to anyone, not just BBW's. It is a way for ALL our friends, new and long-time, to meet and enjoy each other's company over a good meal.

Every Sunday, La Hacienda offers a self-serve breakfast buffet, which is muy delicioso! There is a wide assortment of entrees available, such as chile verde, chile colorado, enchiladas, beans, rice, scrambled eggs, fruit, as well as traditional breakfast specialities such as menudo and posole.
Directions: Contrary to what MapQuest may tell you, the fastest way to get here is to take Exit 189 off NB or SB I-5.
From NB I-5, turn left off Exit 189, go over the freeway & turn left at the next light (Ev. Mall Way). Go up the hill past the cemetery and continue on EMW for about a mile. La Hacienda is on the left at the corner of EMW & 7th Ave. (a little past Applebee's).
From SB I-5, take Exit 189 up the hill to EMW. Turn left and follow EMW as above.

A return to a favorite family-friendly venue, which serves a wide selection of delicious Italian fare. This is the site of Cindy & my first BBW event in April, 2001. It has always been one of our favorite dining spots, and is always enjoyed be all.
They have great pizza and many pasta dishes. My favorite is the short ribs & spaghetti dinner. Wear a bib with this one!
Directions: Take Boeing Fwy/SR 526 West from NB or SB I-5. Exit Evergreen Way
(1st exit). Go left about a mile or so. Giorgio's is on the left.

A neighbor recommended this place to us. We tried it and were very impressed. It has become our favorite Thai restaurant and we have shared it many times with family and friends. The food is wonderfully tasty and the ambience is awesome. The fountain pool with elephants at the entrance is a very welcoming feature. The murals along the interior walls cascade down from the the ceiling with colorful, intriguing native scenes.
Directions: From NB I-5, take Exit 186 (128th St.) & turn left. Go several miles to Evergreen Way & turn right. Go about 1 mile to 112th St. (ARCO & AM/PM). Turn left & enter the shopping strip mall on the right. Go all the way around to the right to the far corner to Zab's.
