The original Star Trek starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, et al, started it all. The first fan conventions, the first write-in programs to save the show, the first fan fic (in particular, slash).

This Star Trek is the only one for me. And I can still remember the day, 20 years ago, when I went to a bookstore and came across The Best of Trek Fan Fiction. It was the first time I'd learned that such a thing existed. I bought the book, brought it home, and read the first story: Visit to a Weird Planet Revisited which takes place on the set of the episode Mirror, Mirror.

William Shatner, DeForest Kelley and Leonard Nimoy are standing around at attention, waiting to be beamed up, when there's this interspatial time-and-space accident and the actors are actually beamed up into the alternative universe of the episode where everyone is...if not evil at least downright bloodthirsty. The actors have to play their roles to the hilt in order to save the aliens on the planet, and their own lives. It was charmingly written, suspenseful, and absolutely hilarious.

So when I decided to write a story about the actors of the SAOJV, I elected on this format.

I hope it will be fun, I'll try to make it amusing, and thanks to the actors and writers and production people of the show for making such great entertainment!
