	On the Grand Canal between Robertstown and Milltown.
CLASSES LONG START SHORT START		OPEN K2 K1 Div.1 and Div.2 JUNIOR K2 / T2 (Boys & Girls under 16 years) K1 Veterans K1 Div.3 K1 Womens K1 Boys/Girls (under 16 years) GENERAL PURPOSE Mens / Womens GENERAL PURPOSE Boys / Girls (Under 16 years) OPEN CANADIAN SENIOR T2 (NON RANKING)
COURSE		Start and Finish at on the Grand Canal at Robertstown Robertstown is 10 miles North of Newbridge between Prosperous and Kilmeague. Long course - 12 miles (WEST along Milltown spur and back to Robertstown). Short course - 5 miles (EAST along the main canal and back).
FIRST START ENTRIES CLOSE ENTRY FEES		1:30 PM 1:00 PM Entry FREE to ALL paddlers and ICU RULES WILL APPLY
PRIZE GIVING		4:30 PM in the Grand Canal Hotel, Robertstown.

Notes (the small print):

As for the last race (on Oct 6^th) refreshments will provided after the finish - upstairs in the Grand Hotel, Robertstown.
For a change, there WILL be a Presentation of prizes in the Grand Canal Hotel.
Be sure to register your entry before the race - to get your time recorded!
There are NO portages on both the short and the long courses.
This is NOT a ranking race.
Drivers, please use the car parks at the side or rear of the hotel building.

Course Map

SHORT COURSE

East along the Grand Canal.

Turn before the Second Bridge over the canal.

The turning point will be marked and stewarded

Return to finish in front of the Grand Canal Hotel.

LONG COURSE

West along the canal keeping LEFT.

Take the turn to LEFT after approx 1 mile under a bridge (this will be marked).

Continue SOUTH along the Milltown spur.

After approx 5 miles turn at a wide point in the canal.

The point will be marked by flags and stewarded.

Return to finish 20 m beyond the Bridge in Robertstown.
