Kilcullen - Newbridge : Schools race

Newbridge Kayak club was represented on the 2nd race of the ICU 2001 Junior Event Calendar by five paddlers,

• Fiona Moore,
• Brian Moore,
• Keith Monaghan,
• Finian Kelly,
• Donal O'Farrell, and
• Craig Stevenson.

The race was held on Saturday, the 5^th of May, and all NKC paddlers who entered completed the course.

Fiona Moore took the prize for Girls Open Singles class.

The race started at Kilcullen (Long course) and Athgarvan (for the short 4 mile course) and finished at the Dominican college, Newbridge above the weir.

Our thanks to the Kilcullen Canoe Club for the use of their grounds at the 'Long Start' and the Dominican College for the use of their facilities at the finish.
