Niklara are most happy while alone or with a couple of close friends. They form bonds that last until death, but are known to never let a grudge go. Their personalities can range from moody to hyper.
Niklara are humanoids commonly referred to by other races as cat people. They have features that are very cat like, however they walk erect on their two back legs like any humanoid. Half breeds don't have whiskers and sometimes their fur is too short to tell they have any. They do however have claws, fangs, and cat-like ears.
Niklara don't commonly like kitsunes, but can work along side a kitsune if they have to. They tend to get along with most other races with very little trouble. They make the quickest friends with gnomes becauce the gnomes will sometimes learn the language of the niklara. Full blooded niklara keep to themselves and often have little or no contact with the rest of the world.
They can be either good or evil, but most often are chaotic neutral
Niklara live in small communities of only their closest family members. They prefer the forest over flat lands and are well adapted to hiding and hunting in their homeland. They tend to be very territorial and a family will mark it's land by making marks on the trees with their claws.
They do not have their own spoken language the way most other races do. The niklara communicate with various frequencies and body language.
Niklara are natural loners and it's often that a child will leave the colony to seek out new territory. Sometimes they will lay claim to a certain person or party instead of an area and follow that person or party wherever they go. Half breed niklara often move to larger cities or towns to live.
