Time: noon
Location: AmKelosh: a lunch table
Note: This seems to just end suddenly becuase we decided to skip onto the missing warlord story line, thinking that sounded interesting.

Nick Corwin is sitting at a lunch table somewhere in the main palace. He's giving Karyn the Amazon a strange and disaproving look. She's the most foward of those that were assigned to him, but at the same time, the one he's managed to befriend the easiest. He did that to get back at Kayos, see if he could twist their loyalty to be more toward himself than Kayos. It seems to be working, but then Nick has had extensive training in social engineering. "What happened to the scared little girl that used to have nightmares about me?" Karyn smiles sweetly and responds that she grew up. The Amazons are only human and these girls are in their late teens to early twenties. Nick looks around the same age, but is really 328 years-old. He was a highly feared assassin and it's times like this he misses it.

Naomi silent steps coat the ground as she makes her way to the room that Kayos told her to meet him at.. Locks of ebony cascade around the porcelin face.. Her eyes were slightly glazed over, lost in thought as she enters into the room.. Her form suddenly comes to an abrut halt as the glaze dissappears from her look.. The scent of Nick fills into her nostrils as she says not a word but looks at him then back to the exit debating to catch up with Kayos some how and tell him to meet her elsewhere..

Nick Corwin has become the Amazon's favorite victim since his return to AmKelosh, or that's how he sees it anyway. He thinks it's their way of making up for all those horror stories they used to tell about him as children. Just another way to prove he's not that scary. At times like these he'd like to prove to them that he still is, but not even he is brave enough to attack a member of the royal guard. However as one jumps up to guide Naomi to the table under the guise of being poilte, he'd really love to rip her apart. He looks back down to his food, and can feel his face getting a little flush from a blush. This of course only annoys him even more. An Amazon that was sitting next to Nick jumps up and moves her plate to give Naomi a spot to sit. Servents flood in to try and serve Naomi food.

Naomi begins to get slightly uncomfortable thinking it's another one of Mekehlee's tricks.. Or Kayos just trying to set her up somehow.. Her gaze looked around warily for a few momets searching for any sign of Mekehlee at first.. An arm raises from her side as she brushes away the servants attempting to serve her food.. Her gaze finally fell onto one of the amazons as the skillful tongue rolls the words from her lips.. "Where's Kayos? I was told to meet him here. " She continued to stay a few feet from the exit, not showing any desire to move to the table and sit besides Nick.. She wasn't here for him.. She was here for Kayos..

Nick Corwin sees Naomi has fended off the childish games of the Amazons and servants and smiles slyly. Serves them right to lose that battle. Nick sees that the others are not going to speak. They all know what happened and would much rather have fun with the pair than help Naomi find Kayos. Nick looks to Naomi and gives her a little shrug. "He's either being an ass, or he's on his way." The Amazon still sitting on one side of him tries to backhand Nick for his comment while his head is turned toward Naomi, however Nick reaches up his hand that's on that same side, his left, and catches her by the wrist. He holds that for a second, never looking at her, then lets go, dropping his hand back to his lap. "If you're hungry, you're welcomed to join us." His tone is neither a question nor an invitation.

Naomi feels she has a bit of mekehlee's trickery still in her as a grin forms across her lips.. "What if I just want you?" She gives a light wink towards Nick before looking back towards the exit.. A sigh slipped past the set of crimson laced lips as she brought forth her steps towards the table only coming to a pause a few feet away.. She was debating where to sit.. She could sit besides Nick.. But that would probably put them both in an akward position.. An arm slipped from beside her, digits gathering the cloak that laid around her a bit closer to her slender form.. A shudder trails down her spine as she vanishes the thoughts within.. Nick did look good.. very good..

Nick Corwin feels a very hot flush come across his face and looks down frowning at the Amazon's giggles. The Amazons have put themselves everywhere else at the table, but for the spot for Kayos and the spot left open for Naomi. Nick braves looking back up to Naomi amost as soon as he'd looked down, some of his hair falls loose from all the head movment and curves down from his head before drapping back over his shoulder. "Why don't you try something you haven't had yet?" He's just taking a guess that Naomi might not have had some of the more strange or traditional Keloshian dishes. His statment only cuases more of those childish school girl giggles from the Amazons. They really need to get out more.

Naomi smirks lightly as his words sealed the deal. Silent steps once more took onto the ground as she made her way around the table. Her movements resembled everything of a predatory feline, including her grace. Her form was gently sat next to Nick as a small grin forms now onto her lips as she looks over to him. "I don't hink I've had your blood yet.. That's something new.. " She winks once more towards him as elongated legs come to fold over one another.. Her posutre continues to be upright as arms go to push the cloak from around her form allowing it to fall behind her..

Nick Corwin gives Naomi a strange look, almost worried or maybe thinking he didn't hear her right. But then he reminds himself she is a vampire. He's very protective of himself however, especially his blood when it comes to vampire women. In truth he doesn't really mind the women, it's just their fangs and bloodlust that bothers him. He likes women that are both strong and pretty. He's not into the type that has to be saved all the time, they just get in the way and cause distraction. A woman has to be able to hold her own to catch his attention, but at the same time he's not into be dominated. "It's not that new, I'm just over three centuries old." His voice is calm and collected. If she wants a verbal battle, he'll give her one. Or get bored and let her win, whitchever comes first.

Naomi chuckles lightly, "I don't want it anyways. Just razzin' you." Her gaze shifts over the food that was suddenly placed infront of her when she said no. Her weight shifts lightly as she leans back against the chair a bit more.. Her head lightly lolls down as strands of ebony come to sprawl against her face.. She couldn't get that feeling out of her.. She didn't like it at all.. Another shudder rolls across her form as she shakes her head lightly looking off somewhere.. No where in particular..

Nick Corwin looks up suddenly as some guy is rushing by them rather quickly. "Hey!" He calls out to get the guy's attention and the guy stops to face Nick. Nick is afterall a noble, and that demands certain respect, whether Nick wants it or not. "What's going on?" The guy looks at Naomi, uncertainly, but Nick gives him a warning look to remind the guy Nick doesn't have that light of a temper, not to push him. The guy then goes on to explain that the Saso never made it back to the Tamirja galaxy and can not be located. Nick as well as the Amazons look a little shocked and worried. The guy then goes on to explain that other -emphasis on the word other- ships also did not make it to their destinations and he has to go report this to Kayos imediatly. Nick waves the guy off idly, but has a distant and thoughtful look in his apple-jade, green eyes. The implications of this could be very bad. Nick can't help but think straight away of his mother and wonder where she is.

Naomi continues to sit there quite quiet.. Not understanding anything going on but growing quite curious in fact.. She shifts slightly uncomfortable as she looks back towards Nick as the man leaves.. "What's going on?" Curiousity plastered her features, though a bit of a worry laid within.. Her gaze for a few moments shifts over to the amazons then back over to Nick awaiting for an expalination of what is going on.. 1
