Time: night
Location: AmKelosh
Note: For anyone wanting to know Rafe's big secret, just read all the way down. Iatha already knows it and discusses it with Rafe. Also Lark's controler had to leave suddenly, which is why we don't see what happened to her char. We assume Lark got around Rafe and went on about her business.

Rafe stands in a hallway of AmKelosh. He is a young looking man with red hair. His hair isn't really long, but it's not all that short either. His eyes are purple and his skin is fair. Often purple eyes can mark a person that belong to Mekehlee, but Rafe was just talking with an Amazon as if he had some say over her. He now watches her walk off. His expression as he watches her is blank, bordering anger. She was trying to be defient, he had to put her in her place. She's just a bodyguard after all and he's a Ramezkie. He dresses in a tech style. He has on a dark pair of pants and a black silk shirt. The odd thing is there is a katana at his side. It looks rather out of place in his techish outfit.

Lark Sandstone her business was urgent, urgent in her own regard. She moved through the courtyard and into one halls of Amkelosh castle. she had thing toi work on, and duties to up hold. Plus training to get to as well. she was a pumisher upon herself in such tasks. she tilte dher head seeing a opair in the corridor up ahead. One walked one way while the other walkked toward her. she could see the red hair. strangely it was much like Kayos' hard to miss to.

Rafe looks past the Amazon to see Lark coming toward him. She seems to be in a hurry. Let's slow her down and see what happens? He steps out to the side so he's in the middle of the hallway, blocking a clean path past him. He gets a wicked, almost menacing smile on his lips. His purple eyes are alight with mischief, which would make most question again if he's with Kayos or Mekehlee. Mekehlee is after all the goddess of trickery, all her people are trouble makers. "Can I see some id?"

Lark Sandstone "what?' she slowled down as she was about to perpare to move pass him. her brow furrowing as she heard the words escape his lips. Was he for real. "i was unware that kayos had gnoons in the city pestering folk. " she came to aupleasing halt, her amethyst gaze narrowed at at. She was curious to whether her charms would work on te likes of Mekehle's people. those weird purple eyed.....oh wiat her eyes wer enot far off. She looked at him, in question...."give me a reason why i should.?"

Rafe only smiles deviously. She's annoyed with him? Good. It's always fun to see what sets people off. "Well I wouldn't call them goons, but Kayos has people everywhere. You can't turn around in the city without someone seeing it." He looks at her eyes and makes a slight mental note how simular in color their eyes are. His gazes moves to her hair, his is more red. . but how odd. They could be siblings. Or maybe one of them is old enough to be the other's parent? You can't tell a person's age by looking at them in Kelosh. Too many have outsider blood in them, or some other sort of long living race. "My sword is a little tempermental and likes to know who it is it cuts in half." He shrugs as if that was just typcial small talk over tea. Will that be one lump or two?

Kanus Ramezkie other hand holds the handle of his sword, wich he idly swings around as he makes his way down the hall, little flecks of blood flying from the stained blade and splattering against the walls and floor. His oddly pale blue eyes are locked onto the blade that swings slowly back and forth in front of him, hidden by the shadows cast by a few stray bangs that hang down in his face.He doesn't seem to be paying much attention to were he's going,he's just kindof watching the sword swing around..yes..he really is that bored.

Rafe turns suddenly, drawing his katana from it's sheath is a motion too fast for the human eye to keep up with. His sword is vertical in an instant, blocking the swing of Kanus' own sword. Rafe doesn't look worried in the slightly. He's very calm about the whole thing. He could have easily moved out of the way, but that warrior in him demands he uses his sword to block. Dodging is for fools that don't know how to use a weapon, or for formable oppants. Rafe studies Kanus in an instant and judges him as a formable oppant, but also in that same instant marks him as a brother. "You know if you acidently hit an Amazon Kayos would have you flayed." They both know that an Amzon is not going to get hit by anyone idly swining a sword. But they both also should know Kayos would have anyone flayed.

Kanus Ramezkie He blinks, his eyes still locked on his sword, wich at this point is locked in the place were the other blade hit it,forming a sort of "x" with the blade that struck it crossing over it.He doesn't really move much,in fact he wasn't moving at all,he just blinks, the calm thoughtfull look on his face replaced with one of slight confusion.."eh?"..his eyes move upward along the blade that has stopped his from moving, and about the time his eyes reach those of the sword's owner, the other's words register in his head, and a slight smile spreads across his face."Yeah ..he would wouldn't he?" He pulls his sword away, the metal of the blades sliding against eachother with a slow dull mechanical scraping sound. The sword is swung up onto his shoulder, his body wieght shifting slightly to make up for the large wieght that suddenly appears on his shoulder, more of that blood flying from the metal and messing up all the stuff in the hallway

Rafe can't help but notice all the blood and frowns a little in disaproval. His own katana is spotless, clean, poslished, and sharpened. He rest the sword on the sacbard, flat side down, with the tsuba (sp?) near the scabard. He then slides the sword all the way down the scabard until the point is at the whole of the sheath. The sword then slides home. All this takes very little time, as it's something Rafe does often. Everytime he unsheaths his sword in fact. It's a sign of respect for the weapon. He holds out a hand in greeting. Kayos has so many adobted children and other minions, it's impossible to know them all, even if you've been working in kelosh for a few centries. "Rafe Ramezkie."

Kanus Ramezkie Nods a little taking a moment to wipe his partialy gl;oved hand off on his pants before reaching out to take the other guy's,shaking it and all that "Nice t' meet ya,I'm Kanus" Once his hand slips away from Rafe's,it's instantly shoved back into his pockets. He seems oblivious to the mess he has been creating,or if he is aware of it,he doesn't seem to be too concerned, his oddly pale blue eyes have a sort of dull serene calmness in them, like he's just to apathetic to notice what's going on around him,and usualy,he is. "so anybody home? I mean besides you and those amazon chics that are always runnin' around here?"His voice has a calm, quiet tone that matches his expression perfectly,it all combines quite nicely to give him that "I'm not even trying to care" look.

Rafe can't help but wipe his hands on his own pants after shaking Kanus. If there's that much blood on the sword, who knows what's on his hands. Rafe tries not to look at his hand to see if it's dirty. That'd be rude. Hmm, odd he normaly wouldn't care if he was rude. "Kayos isn't around, if that's what you mean. And I'm not sure if you knew, but Lady Iatha recently accended to High Power. She now holds the domains of death and darkness and sits on the High Council. Rearanging of the ranks to fill in the spots of her and her army have been a little stressed these last couple of months. War is upon us and we have to get used to working with a whole new branch of bloodsuckers." He shrugs a little. It's just one of those military type things. Follow orders and shutup. It's the Kelosh way.

Kanus Ramezkie Makes a slightly unpleasent face, ugh, none of that sounded to fun,he especcialy didn't like the part about the increase of vampires,it was a werewolf thing,he just didn't like them. "Man this happens every time I'm gone..I'm off killing something important and things get shifted all around without me knowing about it" For a moment he looks like he's thinking about the situation, but soon enough he just shrugs, adjusting the wieght of the blade resting on his shoulder, and his expression returns to the same apathetic gaze "Oh well,at least there's gonna be a war, those are always fun"

Rafe lets his head fall back and laughs hard. Rafe likes a good war too, and his sword loves the feel of slicing through flesh, both alive and undead. It's an enchanted magical weapon with a will of it's own. It's will is to protect Kayos and his interest though. A typical enchantment on minions that serve deities. "So what was it you killed with that thing anyway?" He nods toward Kanus' sword after he gets a hold on his laughter. A large smile remains on his face and his purple eyes continue to dance in mischief. If his last name was not Ramezkie, he could be mistaken for one of Mekehlee's minions. Lark already mistook him for one, he's sure.

Kanus Ramezkie A slight smile spread across his face, and a cetain light sparked in his pale blue eyes for just a moment, just the thought of fighting and killing sparked something inside him,it was quite appearent that he liked battles, hell it's what he lived for "Justa buncha peasents that don't like the way things are bein' run around here, thought the wanted to starts some kind of rebellion or something" He adjusts the position of his shoulder a bit, shifting the wieght of the blade on his shoulder as his eyes anarrow a bit,he was trying to remember the details of exactly what happened "I was just in the area and heard about it,so I thought I'd go see what the fuss was about" The smile returned to his face now, only this time it was wider, the momory of how he slaughtered the group caused nothing short of ecstasy in his twisted little mind "Found 'em all camped out in some woods, bastards actualy tried to fight bac,one of 'em even shot me" he nods to the arm not holding the sword, and to the little hole in his sleeve, appearently cause by an arrow or something"

Rafe seems to get thoughtful at the mention of a possible rebellion. He'd thought most the people were happy. There's always some that think an absolute monarch is a bad thing though. They speak of silly things like democracy. They need an iron fist to kill them in line. Or a steel sword. "Well it's a good thing you ended that then." He was going to say it could have gotten messy, but looks like it already did. His eyes trail down the white walls of the hallway and the colorful mosaic patterns splattered with blood. "Um, don't you think Kayos might get upset about all that though?"

Kanus Ramezkie He blinks, his head tilting to the side slightly, looking somewhat confused for just a moment,he then notices that Rafe's eyes are on something down the hall, and he turns, following Rafe's gaze untill he finds what he's looking at.He blinks again, this is the forst time he actualy noticed that his idle swinging of the sword had redecorated the hallway, and suddenly he didn't feel so good" Uh oh..i forgot about that" He shrugs. "them, there's so many of them they get away with everything"

Rafe glances back at his brother and then looks around. He just happens to see a servant girl stepping out of a room. She stops to look at the hall in dismay. She's not far from Rafe, so he walks over to her, and grabs her by the arm. He roughly turns her to force her to look at him. She gasps in surprise and has a hard time staying on her feet. Rafe narrows his eyes at her as if he's ready to take her head off. "Don't just stand there gawking. Get something to clean it up." His words come out slow and controled as if to make sure she hears each one. He lets go of the girl and returns to his brother with a smile. "So hard to find good help these days?" He almost laughs as his own joke, but doesn't. That'd be odd.

Iatha The smell of blood is masses upon the air,its not long before Iatha finds her way to this random hall in her brothers palace. The black form fitting dress she wore clung to her chest slightly, breasts held in the dress by a silk like loop around her neck that was sewn into the dress, with a batwing corset over it in the front. The skirt flowing to her ankles, a slit up to the thigh on one leg. Black hair resting over the cloak that rested about her form. Trailing along the grond, after her usual hookeye boots hit the ground. Dark gaze moving around, she sniffs the air, then looks to the blood. Finding the cause up ahead, alothough she couldn';t tell who did it. There were two males there..one that smelled liek Kayo's, the other was Kanus. "You didn't leave any toys for me?"

Kanus Ramezkie He eyes the maid girl for a moment, noting that she has that look of impending doom on her face, and smirks a little,"Heh yeah..but at least it's fun watching them try" He was talking to Rafe, but his eyes were locked on the girl,or rather, parts of her,as she was now bent over to set a bucket of water down on the floor. He tilts his head to the side a bit, trying to get a better look at what was being revealed as the skirt she was wearing slid upwards, but then the blinks, shaking his head a bit and forcing his eyes to move back to Rafe and focus."Thanks though..if you hadn't have caught her I would have had to explain this mess to Kayos, and that is definitely not high on my list of ways I want to die"He wasn't quite sure if he was trying to say that jokingly or not. Then suddenly he heard a new voice, and at first he looked to the maid odd jerking motion as the blade of his sword swings up and lands once again on his shoulder "Well..i coulda brought one back for ya,but there wasn't much lefft"

Rafe sees Iatha and only smiles still in his devious way. He gives a little shrug. " I tried to tell Kanus to leave one for you. I said, 'hey, Lady Iatha might happen by and want a meal' But he insisted that now you're a full fledged goddess and can get your own meals." He gives a little sigh and another shrug speaking in a tone that seems to say, I told him so. "You know if I were you, I wouldn't take that type of disrespect from him though." His purple eyes move to lock with Iatha's if she decides to look him in the eyes. Rafe is only 5'7". His hair is red and his skin is fair. He's dressed in blue jeans and a tee shirt with a katana at his side. His purple eyes seem to scream trobule maker as if advertising.

Iatha A thin eyebrow arches and she studies him for a moment. Unable to hide the grin that was forming over her lips. Her brother was up to his tricks again, but she would play along. Besides, it was amusing to see him have to up to her instead of looking down at her. "Flattery will get one nowhere..lease they be someone of importantance at the moment. However, as tempting as the girl looks....she would make a worthless toy and her screams would only last so long." When she speaks about the girl she turns to her, eyeing her for a moment and flashing her fangs at her for the hell of it, then looks to them. "But there are other uses for her, taht i could disapprove of..but its of little concern to me.'" She moves over to them, looking to the blades they weild. "A duel perhaps? Yet neither has drawn blood..how unfortunite. Wounds always do make fights all teh better." She raises a hand and tucks soem black hair taht fell into her face back behind her slightly pointed ear. An effect of taking her last lovers blood, btu she didn't mind...the looks suited her and she was all teh more powerful for it. Plus she has his stone now...

Kanus Ramezkie He blinks, his eyes widening a bit as he hears what Rafe is saying, and then the eyes narrow into a glare, and he shoots a sideways glance at Rafe "That's not funny at all" His eyes shifted back to Iatha when he heard her speaking, and followed her gaze to the maid girl, wathing the girls expression change fro fear to crippling terror, well that's not nice at all.He looks back at Iatha at the sound of the word duel, the word had a tendency to attract his attention, and when he heard it,his grip instinctively tightened on the handle of his sowrd Once the initial jolt of hearing thw ord faded though, his head tilted to the side slightly, what was she talking (rest of post missing. Kanus was having computer troubles that day)

Rafe frowns in disapointment. He was trying to bait Iatha to get mad at Kanus. She just knows Rafe a little too well it'd seem. Any stranger would have taken the bait. Or at least considered it. Iatha just ignored it altogether. His eyes go to the girl as well and thoughts of things he could do to her. That'd be fun. About that same time he hears Kanus telling him it wasn't funny. He sighs and shakes his head sadly. "But it could have been." He tries to ignore the comment of the duel. That's juts not fair. Iatha can't take his bait and try to turn it around and bait them instead. That's not right. He does notice Kanus tenses up, but Rafe makes no such move. He doesn't so much as tighten any muscle.

Iatha "This is amusing if anything else..though I wouldn't muind punishing someone. Perhaps at my palace? a test of endurance....Kayos wouldn't min as long as your back in one piece and I am sure you could withstand all I have. Even my cirmimsizing of all the limbs.." She grins at Kanus. Joking really as Kayos would kill her if she messed with her adoptive nephew...

Kanus Ramezkie He blinks suddenly, his head tipping to the side a bit again as he sniffs the air deeply a few times, suddenly seeming to space out a little, his eyes darting around a little as he turns to face down the hall.Without really bothering to say anything to the others he just started to walk off,in fact he didn't even seem to notice the others for a moment,he just wandered a bit down the hall, his eyes looking around the hall blankly and his nose twitching as he sniffs the air. After a few steps,he stops, his eyes blinking as he seems to snap out of the little trance he was in,and he turns to face the other two again, the hand that was in his pocket moving up to scratch the back of his head for a moment before plunging back into the pocket" Um yeah..I hafta go..if Kayos asks I'm back..he probably won't ask..but anyways" He shrugs, and nods slightly,I guess that was Kanus's equivalent to waving goodbye, before turning and head off down the hall, taking a moment to scan the curves of the maid girls body as he walked by,as she was now on her hands and knees scrubbing and revealing quite a bit more of her bare body.

Iatha watches him go, nodding lightly. "A pity...and i would have had such fun testing you to.. You wouldn't died...never would a niece or nephew die by my hands..." She lifts a hand, the oen that bore her symbol ring and waves. Then looks to Rafe..

Rafe only watches Iatha as she talks of such things. He isn't going to reveal himself in front of Kanus, so he just pretends to be a son and a potenial target to Iatha. Sometimes he wonders if he would be if he had blood. She might want to taste how different their undead lives have made their blood. He often wonders that himself. They are different types of undead. He watches Kanus leave thinking Kanus is a strange one. Probably had a rough childhood. A bad father maybe? Damn, what's he thinking. that kid had it good. He turns his gaze to Iatha again, but with the maid in the hall, he must still watch himself. If she's not marked, she's a potenial spy. He opens his mouth as if to speak, but closes it again. Like he's nervous around the vampiric goddess and doesn't know what to say to her.

Iatha Silence hung in the air for a while and she liffted her cloak up slightly, the ends dripping with blood. Human perhaps? Animal blood? It was a mix really..and not fresh either. Sensing tension, she looks to Rafe, then to the maid, that looks up, then down again. Becoming more then just a power had affected her little, other then her duties and her sense of traveling. At least she wouldn't have to worry about looking out for her daughter. her daughter had fled/been killed and been tended to. Which left the chldren at the palace, her warriors and her new duties. "You crave something other then easy catch for your bed?" She speaks to Rafe

Rafe looks at Iatha strangely, not sure how to comment on that. He glances at her cloak and wonders if everyone is going to come in and splatter blood all over the white walls of AmKelosh. He thinks Iatha would rather enjoy doing so. Kanus didn't seem to notice at all. He decides not to linger in the hallway where the servent girl is. If Iatha wishes to follow him she will, but he'd rather not have to play submissive too long. He's just not good at it. His ego is too large. "I heard Nick sleeps on fur. I was thinking of trying that. The best furs are harder to catch." He knows that's not what she means, but oh well. He makes his way toward the door to the library.

Iatha Picking up the feeling of discontent from him, she follows, lifting the cloak until they are free of the blood. When they enter the library, a soft chuckle escapes her lips and she glances around before speaking. "Would you like me to turn around while you change or is that hulmilating for one such as yourself as well kayos. Your passions with Syn are no mystery to me..though she is your business and not mine."

Rafe does not try and change form. He's not done as Rafe for the day yet. He turns and looks at Iatha as the door shuts. "Syn? When did the topic change to her?" He thinks to be guarded, but remembers who he's talking to. There is no one he trusts more than Iatha. He doesn't trust Synderix at all. "I have not spoken to her since our last fight a couple of months ago. She seems to forget I'm in charge." There is no end to the growing spurt of Kayos' ego. It was big before, but now he almost controls Synderix and his trusted sister is on the High Council. He's got his sights on taking over the whole Council and putting himself soleing in charge. If Gwyndolyn and Erconi were overthrown, there'd be no wars. There'd be no reason to fight with a sole leader of the Council.

Iatha shrugs her shoulders lightly. "Merely an amusing thought." She nods, knowing what her brother spoke of. Syn did have a way of..dominating..things. But that was lust for you..dominating above all..unless you could control it. Hearing they had fought made her arch a thin eyebrow lightly. It was good..because she wouldn't be hanging around, but bad..becasue she might be spying..but she had been marked.. "Such a delicate balance, it really is who you know. We can't kill her or it would start a war..nor can we kill Gwwyn and Erconi off either...though i have spoken to them latly..sharing domians and all."

Rafe nods at Iatha's words and slumps back onto a table behind him, half leaning against it, half sitting on it. Iatha is almost always right and her advice is always sage. "Synderix may still be of use. And as for Gwyndoyn and Erconi. . I was hoping to manipulate the other High Powers into taking care of it for us. I've got them all convinced Hyicia killed Dacklyn. I just have to talk Erconi and Chathal into seeking vengance. If we keep our eyes open and stay on our toes, it's possible this will be the last Great War."

Iatha She watches him, listening, thinking. The last great war, for a long while at least..that wouldn't stop people from trying to kill those in power. Iatha had never favored politics but they were unaviodable. "I would that..i am ssure others are as well. The concern lies in what you don't know however.Supposing they do, do as you wish..and in the process..get killed themselves. What if their heirs know fare more then they did?"

Rafe sighs as she is right again, damnit. If only he had the forsight his sister has. He had forgotten to take into acount other's heirs. Makes him wonder how closly others watch his own heirs. Prehaps he should develop a better network of spies or wake up some sleepers or something. He can't remember who's in charge of that department off the top of his head. "I didn't think about the heirs. But if we play this smart, we'll never be suspect, so maybe the young and inexerpianced heirs will follow in their parents footsteps and kill each other? Or maybe they can be controled. " He frowns as he just doesn't know. He should have paid closer attention to his enemies.

Iatha nods, her eyes lighting up. Her brother wanted to rule the powers, no problem. Untill it came to who would replace them. Beign a little sibling, she knew how plotting went agianst those in charge ..or what you could get from another person by watching. She would be more then happy to help her brother out though. "We start with the heirs...or make sure they get an idea you want them to have after those before them do their tasks..then..perhaps get them to kill their former higher ranks. All blame goes to them..as corrupied heirs. The council members rethink heirs...its a bit chaotic..but we don't get blamed and you have time to take your place...offering calm in all the confusion."

Rafe smiles liking Iatha's advice, but doesn't he always? "Well we shouldn't have to worry about Sol or Mekehlee, or their heirs. I'm sure they'll be loyal to me in the end, as long as I don't look like a power hungery conqueror and all goes as planned. I'm not so sure about Synderix. She's marked, but her heirs are not. We might need to target them anyway. I'm pretty sure her generals want me dead already. Chathal, Erconi, and Gwyndolyn have to go, for they'd never reliquish their power. I'm not sure how the others stand. We have control of the Oracle once again. I'll get my people to work translating her riddles and finding out what they mean. I'm sure she'll be a powerful tool."

Iatha "Your an enigma as it is and well past the level of ego..Everyone knows that, yet they love you for it as they can predict how you will act." She knew she wasn't hurting his feelings...he had none to hurt and knew it himself that he was arrogant. Being on his side of politics wasn't so bad. "As for the death wish, when you reign...sooner or later people will wish you dead...why not start now?"

Rafe thinks his feelings should be hurt, but she's right, they're not. Though he didn't think he was predictable. . in ways he guesses he is. He's a warlord, conquering is what he does. "Well I'm already dead, and unless they can find my heart, they can't kill me." He almost died once while using another's body as an avatar. He's not sure he'd really have died though. The spell on his heart causes him to regenerate anything he loses, even his entire body which was destroyed by a spell once. The problem is, no one knows where his heart is, not even himself. He has people looking for it, under the guise that he likes to collect large rubies. Who would guess his heart was crystalized and removed when he was turned undead? He knows The Oracle told Lysandra, but she was too dumb to figure it out.

Iatha "Stick to your own body and you won't be slain. I'll support your cause as it could bring much forward, but I would hate to lose you should someone find your weakness and exploit it. Granted I would enjoy torturinmg them...but I can do that whenever I wish." She smirks, then suddenly gets a distant look in her eyess. "One of my charges is turning fully..I so enjoy watching them feed on their first kill. I'll drop by later "little" brother." She grins, then moves over to a shadow and fades out.

Rafe smiles at Iatha as she speaks. She's such a good sister and the best advisor he could ever hope for. It should be fun with her now as his equal. If two leaders are still needed for the High Council, he'll get her to co-lead with him. He won't spring that on her yet. Let her get used to being a High Power first. There's no other he'd want to co-lead with though. He laughs at her calling him little brother, but doesn't say anything. He always feels different after Iatha has visited with him. It's a good feeling. Like home and family.
