� Angelica Croxx stood in the hallway staring at the stone tiles. Her foot etching along the edge of one that jetted out a bit. Her green eyes darken upon the stone. Her hands curled in tight fists. She had received word today of her uncle. And she knew this did not sit well. Well not with her anyways. But few knew, since the messanger came directly to her parting information with whom ever just to get in to see her. she sighed and leaned back against the wall, head tapping lightly against the stone.

Nick Corwin exits his room to go on his daily mope about the palace escapade. He's a bit surprised to find Angel in the hall just standing there. He doesn't miss she seems a little uneasy for some reason. He is followed out of his room by a few Amazons. Nick steps up to Angel and offers her a half hearted concerned smile. Well it's not really half hearted, but it's the best he's got. It's been a very long time since anyone has tried to teach him how to be a friend through example. "Is everything okay?" He thinks to ask her where she's staying now. Funny, but she's been here several days, where does she sleep?

� Angelica Croxx she was to far in thought to even hear Nick approach. Not a good sign. a guard should never let their guard down, or let anyone in. She kne wthis too well. All her friendship... the few she held were hard for her. Nick was ease, strange to her, that it was so ease. She could trust him. there were no romantically thoughts no worries that she would...~ she shook her head, as if on cue her thoughts of her uncle ceeped out and Petter ceeped in. Why did he hate her so. ~ her eyes drifted downward and then to the right. It did not matter now he was gone. A familiar pair of feet entered her line of sight...Quickly she stood at a attention and looke dto greet Nick..."Heloo." back to her chirp self.

Nick Corwin raises an eyebrow at the sudden mood change and takes a step back in mock fear. "Okay, now that's just scary." He raises his hands as if to ward her off, but the smile on his face shows the light heartedness of his gestures. One second she's all doom and gloom, then suddenly she's smiling and looks ready for a street dance. Strange girl. But then he finds most people strange.

� Angelica Croxx says, how are things?" her eyes dart across his features. she studied them, "Uh... what?" The look he gave her she was curious. did she convey something. She bit her lip, ~mental note to self~ dwell in private. She looke dto him her form at attention. She looked to be on duty, her hands rested at her side. the calm and cool Angelicia was here now.

Nick Corwin drops his hands and looks at her new pose. He just gives her a puzzled look in return. Her thoughts must really be racing for it to show so strongly on the outside. Must be a reason for him to worry then? She looks like she's addressing a military leader, not a trusted friend. Maybe she doesn't think of him as a friend? Maybe she's scared of him too? Maybe it's his immortality. She compares it to that of a vampire. He does seem to have some of the other traits as well. "You going to tell me what's wrong?"

� Angelica Croxx says, wrong ?" her head turned to the side...looking at him, she could not hide it apparently. She sighed and relaxed. It never takes long for her to get comfortable around him. She sighed even deeper now. Her hands rose, and ran through her long locks of chestnut hair. she turne dto him...."Its really nothing...I mean its silly ...."

Nick Corwin says, "Are you going to beat around the bush or make me beat it out of you?" He wouldn't really, he's just used to talking to his friends like that. But Bobby, Reena, and Petter never seemed to mind. Well, okay he always meant it if he said it to Petter. Too bad they couldn't be a normal bunch of kids and just sit around a motorcycle shop all day having fun. Wouldn't thatbe nice? Maybe the occaional case to break here and there. He's really started to dislike Kayos for making him stay here. And it's so boring without anything to do. He just sits around doing nothing because they're too afraid to let him out to do anything.

� Angelica Croxx says, Fine...." she did not wish him cross with her. she did not like it when any were cross with her. she frowned, wondering if her words would make it clear the way she felt. "Its my uncle." she took a few steps clear of the wall. "He is well it would seem and taken up with Adrin... the man responsible for aiding him, in his time of need. " she knew nick would question why she felt upset by this.

Nick Corwin does have to wonder why it's a bad thing some guy helped her uncle in a time of need. You helped my uncle, die you bastard! "Um, alright. And this is a bad thing because?" He doesn't move toward her, but remains where he is, flanked by Amazons. A third Amazon has made her way around to where she is now on the opposite side of Angel from Nick, which was only meant to place him between herself and her sister. She got on the other side of Angel to keep from being rude and interupting the conversation by standing in the way. The Amazons are highly trained to just stand around nonintrusivly. They don't call any or very little attention to themselves.

� Angelica Croxx says, I don't Pretend that you will understand but i have no reasons, Nick." she gaze locked with his green eyes. Her onw strong and convicting. She furrowed them in thought..."Adrin wants power. I know that...And what my uncle did to my...." she stopped herself. she promised herself not to drag him into this. IT was her road and she would walk it alone. She had done far too much to Nick and his friends already..."It does not matter. Just Adrin is not to be trusted.." The thoughts of Hanv"Var destroyed echoed in her mind. Her families blood shed for what cost. She sighed and looked at Nick, then to the other Amazons. She would speak no more here.

Nick Corwin won't pry into her afairs. He does want to help however, but he can't. "I'd go back with you and help you, but I can not. I have to stay here now. I don't know who this Adrin guy is, but he's someone you have to face without me. Kayos would never allow it." He's a little sad. It seems to bother her so much. Is that why she came to find him, to seek his help? Now she has to go home and fight the badies herself. He sighs a little, wishing he could help.

� Angelica Croxx she does not tell him that Adrin means her more harm then any other family member. and Cecil would not stop to aid her. she frowned. ~ why does my tongue get me into so much trouble. I have to learn my place at times.~ she furrowed her brow again. Stepped past Nick. She was his guard now. Adrin would wait, or would he. She had evaded one attempt on her life. And another by Adrin himself. good thing she was wet and slippery, who knew what he would have done to her. She sighed and looked at Nick..."enough about me...How are you." she tried to forcible smile. She gaze taking in the other women.

Nick Corwin gives her a look that suggests it was a really silly question. She didn't think about it, which means her mind is still racing on her family problems. "Look, if you want to go home and take care of this stuff, don't let me hold you back. Go do what you got to do, I'll be fine. "

� Angelica Croxx looked at him, her eyes fell. She could not leave it was that simple. The guards knew it, or they should know by now. Her hands tensed at her side. "I am here now, all that can wait." she Did not wish to tell him what she had done. Her green eyes darkened as she turned to glance at the other women.

Nick Corwin frowns and is hurt. He misunderstands why she's still so moody about it. She doesn't have to act like comforting him is as bad as putting her dog down. "Well look if you're that damned thrilled about it, then just go take care of your business. I'm not going to be some lame exucse for you to avoid doing what you have to do. It's your duty to protect your family, live or die." He turns suddenly and heads down the hall away from Angel. The one lone Amazon that was on the other side of Angel has to pick up her speed to catchup. Nick is a tall guy and she is a short Amazon, her stride just isn't as long. The other two turn as soon as Nick is past him and follow him. Though for some reason they seem disaproving of Angel suddenly. Maybe it's habit, but the Amazons tend to get protective of their charges. They'd probably even protect Petter if they saw him here today just because Kayos was once inside him.

� Angelica Croxx she sighed heavily looking after him. she did not want him cross with her. "Nick!!" She darted after him, her thoughts racing, she knew he would know of it sooner or later. And best from her. He would think she did not care enough to tell him herself. she covered the gap rather quick. Her speed came in handy when it came to Nick. She smiled at her proving skill. Her hand darted to turn him about. She was at his side in record timing, a little breathless..."Nick wait."
