Master Kayos is in a room filled with very dangerous looking people. They are a special ops team and Lark has been suited up as their leader. They're all mysterious looking with black suits and many neat little toys. They even have night vision goggles. Nick can see in the dark by using shadows. They've just been briefed on Nick's powers and abilities. Nick is very strong, fast, and has shadow innate. If Nick sees them coming there could be trouble that would result in death. . Kayos doesn't think it'd be Nick's. Everyone has powerful tazers and tranquilizers, that'd kill a human. "Don't speak to him, just knock him out and bring him back here. Is that clear? Any questions?" He looks to one of the female team members as she raises her hand. They are hoping to come in while Nick is asleep and ambush him in his own bed. Kayos gives the woman a little nod to let her know she should speak. <girl> "What if he's in the shower?" Kayos laughs lightly. "Look, but don't touch." It is clear by his tone and the gleam in his eyes -as well as the girl's response- what part of Nick she should look at without touching.

Lark Sandstone groans, as she stands there, finding the girls words a bit useless...."is this necessary, please we should have gone already

Master Kayos reaches around to the desk he's leaning on. He picks up some strange looking manacles off the desk and hands them out toward Lark. "These must be on him before you teleport back. Hands behind his back." Kayos doesn't think that second part needed to be said to Lark. She knows Nick enough to know what a killer he is. He did put the emphasizes on the word must however. If they brought Nick back without the special restraints he would wake up once his powers returned to him and kill them all. Kayos has explained this already during the briefing. He'd told them about the manacles, but just hadn't given them to Lark yet. There is only one set.

Lark Sandstone looks at Kayos her right hand extended towards the manacles, she smirks.... "these will hold Nick...." her tone was low and questionable as if anything could hold nick. she almost chuckled at the irony of her words, she looked to Kayos

Master Kayos says, "Now remember, None of you will have any use for your magical, innate, or spell-like abilities, but Nick has been genetically engineered. He is a lot stronger, faster, and deadlier than any of you." He then gives Lark a slight nod. The manacles are longer than most. They cover the complete forearm and therefore will make it impossible for Nick to pull a fancy trick to get his arms in front of himself. That and they have tech locks for when they are in Tech City, and enchanted effects that should keep Nick sedated until Kayos wants it otherwise.

Lark Sandstone says, Ah I see.....tricky..." she smirked looking the manacles over, just to see how they worked. Her eyes darted across the locks and then the manacles themselves, she stood, looking to her team, she fixed her form , namely her attire, she wanted to go now, she just hoped that all went well and slight getting the best of Nick.. she smirked, what she would not give to be the one to do so...

Master Kayos looks around at the team. There are nine of them, Lark makes ten. If they give Nick time to react, it won't be enough. Kayos is counting on Nick hesitating to kill Lark however, which means he has nine to go through before he gets to her. "Princess Lark, whenever you are ready, I'll teleport you and your team directly into Nick's sleeping quarters at the said location. He should be asleep by now. My advice it not to let him wake up." Kayos had taken Lark aside before the briefing and told her she'd have plenty of time after the operation was over to rub it in Nick's face that she led it. Taking time to do so during the operation could compromise everything.

Lark Sandstone nodded and then looked to the team, giving kayos the nod, she stepped more towards the center of the room, fixing her attire and the weapons she knew she would have no need for. she smoothed her pant legs and stood poised before kayos, a cocky smirk upon her lips, left hand flicking her mane of autumn red locks over her shoulder, up behind her amethyst gaze flickered with amusement

Master Kayos isn't allowing them to go in with loaded deadly weapons, but allowed Lark her daggers. The team members each have tranquilizing guns and tazers. He doesn't want Nick harmed in any way, just caught and brought back. They should go in so fast and be out of there just as fast that neither Holi nor Angelicia Croxx will have time to react. That is unless the team gives Nick time to react. Kayos gives the signal and the team gets into their positions. "Shoot the first thing that moves. Don't worry about hitting him too many times. He'll recover even if you all shoot him." After that is said, he gives another signal to a magic user, -one of Nick's siblings- and Lark's team is teleported.

Lark Sandstone ~ the manacles in her right hand, her right hand faster to draw then her left and then many within Kayosia she was a fast draw, she had been training hard and working on her speed and skill on accuracy, she smirked as she watched Kayos, waiting to be transported, she knew how to get there and that there was just a few moments to get it done and out.

Nick Corwin is sleeping soundly in his bed, having no idea at all that Kayos was that unhappy with him. He's spoken with Kayos using web cams and conference technology. Nothing was ever said about him needed to get back right away. Nick was liking his little break to tell the truth. His bed is a double and Nick sleeps on his back in the center of it. He is wearing only a pair of gray cotton pants to sleep in. His hair is braided and wrapped to keep it from getting tangles.

Lark Sandstone ~ the teleport to Nick's place was with easy and quick, like Kayos had said, the manacles in her hand she moved out from the sphere, with a quickness all her own, the others surrounded the bed and made no noise, their steps light and carefully placed, three blocked the doorway to prevent anyone getting inside. Lark just looked to Nick and tiptoed to his side, the manacles in her hand and unlocked

Nick Corwin begins to stir in his bed. The team is very highly trained not to make a sound, but Nick is very highly trained to hear them anyway. He's older, which means he's got more experience than any of them. They're just human, maybe a few elves because they're quieter. The elves might be older than Nick.

Lark Sandstone ~ six guards surrounded the edge of the bed not to close by close enough if something happened they could react, or if nick attacked he would have to react to the entire room, they stand not moving once in place, they are stealthy and light extremely light on their toes, lark, moved to the edge of the bed lowering the manacles to nick's wrists, holding them in both hands over the edge of Nick's wrists, she looked to watch him , making sure he did not move before she could slam them on to his forearms. At the slightest stir, she would slap them on. She counted in her head , then with ease and a skill of quickness all her own, she could slap them on, the lock would slide into place ready to lock once they touched his arm

Nick Corwin does wake up just as Lark is attacking him. She touched the bed, it was impossible not to given the size of it. Even the light touch of a cat stepping on his bed would wake him up. He starts awake, every muscle in his body first goes tense and then most relax. Part of the reason he 's so fluid and dangerous is that he can fight relaxed. He's also highly skilled iaido, in which a person can make a killing blow from any causal position, or in theory anyway. Nick's eyes open the second Lark touches his bed, but he senses movement from the left side of his bed. He is up and moving. He rolls away from Lark, the covers following him and providing a cover from Lark and those on that side. A few tranq darts hit the covers. When the covers fall, the person that had been closest to Nick is dead, and the others are reloading their guns, which also missed.

Lark Sandstonegrowls , not wanting Kayos to learn that she failed to sneak up on him, she grabbed a dart from one of the others along her right side, away from nick she held in behind her back as she dove across the bed, her eyes narrowed upon Nicks side , once he cleared the bed he would be vulnerable, his bare form exposed to one with such aim and skill and agility as she had, she rolled across the bed in a half, side ways summer salt coming up to the other side her hand with the dart snapped forward releasing the dart while nick was busy with the others on the left side of the bed

Nick Corwin half turns toward the rest of the room, as if he's about ready to strike down everyone else. He looks at Lark over his shoulder and gives her a slight confused look. The team has just enough time to wonder if Lark hit with her dart. Nick takes in a breath as if about to call out, but instead crumbles onto the floor. The traqs were pretty strong. He is asleep once more, but this time won't wake so easily.

Lark Sandstone frowns and looked at the others that remained standing, she quickly took the manacles, nodding for someone to pick them up of the floor beside the bed, all that action she dropped them, she grabbed a tight hold of them and slammed them onto his forearms quickly once his arms were pulled behind his back. "there done...." she leaned back against the bed, a bit flustered then she looked to the others that were standing now waiting her orders..."pick him up its time to go..." she stood and headed back to where the teleport was waiting for them

Master Kayos is still waiting in the room when the team returns, it's only been 30 seconds since he'd sent them. His keen eyes notice immediately that one is missing, but it's fewer than he expected to loose. He'd have lost them all if it hadn't been an anit-magic area. He smiles approving to Lark seeing that she has a sleeping Nick and his hands are secured behind his back. Kayos was right about Lark, and he is glade she is on his side. "Well done. Now take him to the dungeons and throw him in a cell." He says this to the team members. Lark is above the simple tosses on an unconscious person into a cell. She gets to be there when he wakes up though.

Lark Sandstone ~looking at kayos she bows her head, knowing that she could have done this job a bit better, she would have to train the others to learn a more stealthier approach, she looked at Nick, then frowned as she returned her gaze back to Kayos, upon his words of tossing Nick in the dungeons.

Master Kayos laughs lightly, his red eyes gleam with devilish delight. His fangs show, which is always a sign of him being mischievous, or angry. The laugh gives away which of those he is now. Then again he has been known to laugh when angry as well. "Well just leave him there for awhile, then move him to an interrogation room. Want to take a break, get something to eat first?" It's clear by his tone, that is what he intends to do. Only he's also thinking of finding one of his women to go have some fun with. Then maybe after food and a bath, he'll let Nick know why he's angry with him.

Lark Sandstone ~looking at Kayos she folds her arms before herself wondering..... she was a bit lost here... "may i ask to the reason why you wish Nick held in such a matter and then pleased in the dungeons, i am lost on the point of your angry here and the fact that You well are treating unlike you normally have

Master Kayos says, "Nick seems to have forgotten his first duty is to me and Kelosh. He has a city to run, but instead he was thousands of miles away with a girl I'd already told him not to go rescue. He's putting his friends before the Kelosh empire." Kayos likes to lead by example, and almost everyone knows that Kayos will put Kelosh before his own desires. He expects the same from his high ranking people.

Lark Sandstone says, I see...." she knew the tone too well, her eyes darted across the room then down to Nick, she had done what she thought she would have failed to do before. She must have improved in her skills to get Nick the way that she did, yet part of her was displeased at the fact that.... shaking her head she smirked wishing he had put up at least a bit of a fight, she smirked and stepped back
