Here's the
interview from UTABAN when laruku just released album True ^-^
I guess most of you know that one of the host in this program
is Nakai-san from SMAP as for the other one, I really have no
idea about his name so I'll just call him host 2 ^^ (any italic
words in the blanket is my opinion, it has nothing to do with
the interview, ok? ^^ )

for any mistakes and thank you very much, toshi for advicing me

Nakai: This
is L'Arc~en~ciel.
Host 2: L'Arc~en~Ciel...
What does it mean?
tetsu: It
means rainbow in French.
Host2: Oh!
Who was the one who picked it up then?
tetsu: Me.
Host2: You
study French?
tetsu: No
no no I can't even speak a word, I was just picked it up because
its melodious. (I heard that he got the name from a French
movie)
Host2: Are
you from Kansai?
tetsu: Yeah,
we formed the group in Osaka.
hyde: Except
the drummer, sakura. We got together in Osaka but sakura came
from Tokyo.
Host2: So,
how could an Osaka team meet a Tokyo person?
tetsu: Three
of us got together in Osaka first but then, we heard about sakura,
we didn't have drummer by that time so regardless of not knowing
him before, I managed to get his number and then called and asked
him to come to Osaka.
Host2: You've
never seen each other before then?
sakura: Yes.
Nakai: You
guys were just a novice by the time?
tetsu: Yes.
Host2: Well,
somebody you've never met before called and asked you to go to
Osaka, weird phone call!

showed many Laruku PVs on the TV in time sequence ##
Nakai: Wow~~~
Host2: You
guys changed a lot.
Nakai: And
it has been only two years.
hyde: (turn
to the rest of them) You guys changed a lot.
tetsu: The
one who changed the most is you!!
hyde: ore
ka? (YES!! YOU!!!!)
Host2: Red
hair and the way he talked... (at this point, I think he murmur
to himself about how hyde has changed ^^)
Nakai: How
do you contact each other?
ken: Well,
these days it's hyde's mobile that is easy to reach.
Host2: (look
at hyde) Your name is hyde?
hyde: Yes,
it's hyde. You didn't even know my name?
Host2: hyde?
Why?
hyde: It's
a part of my real name.
tetsu: yeah~
his real name is do-i-ha-chi-ro (smile) you just have to reverse
it. (do-i-ha = ha-i-do)
hyde: Don't
say that! (his act is what I called little pout or whine hehe
cute~!! ^^)
Nakai: hyde
is vocalist, sakura is drummer, ken is guitarist and tetsu is
the bassist.
Host2:(show
a piece of ad with the faces of L'Arc and the word that said Kombanwa)
Look at this! Everyone look like having this "Nice to meet
you, we're L'Arc~en~Ciel~~" on their faces.
Nakai: Do
you have a leader?
tetsu: Well,
it's me.
Nakai: Isn't
it hard to be a leader?
tetsu: It
is. Everyone is just so egoist.
Nakai: What's
the most difficult thing?
ken: Ordering
lunch!! (laugh)
Everyone:
Yeah!!! (haha absolutely agree!!! ^^)
Host2: Everyone
has different taste, but... (sorry but I'm not quite understand
what he mean here, gomen~~ >.<)
ken: Like..
one wants Japanese, another wants Chinese... or one says "This
place is great, let's eat here" and then another says "It's
not open yet, let's go other place instead"
Host2: You
ordered a meal when recording in the studio?
tetsu: Yes.
And that caused many problems.
Nakai: What
kind of food do you like?
sakura: Japanese
noodle.
Host2: That
doesn't match your look at all.
Nakai: And
you? (point at ken)
ken: Sushi.
I always try to eat it wherever I go.
Nakai: What
kind of sushi?
ken: a-na-kyu
Host2: The
one that serves with anago and cucumber?
ken: Yes.
I just got to know it recently, before that, I've never ordered
it before because I didn't know what it was. There's always the
name of it in the menu but I had no idea what it was until recently
that I found out it's a kind of sushi so I tried and really like
it.
Nakai: What
about you, tetsu?
tetsu: I like
sushi too.
Host2: So
you guys can order together.
ken: That's
the time we can get along very well.
Nakai: And
vocalist?
hyde: I like
Chinese food.
sakura: There's
one restaurant in Shinjuku that is really good. We always go there.
ken: Our manager
told us about the place and we went there.
Nakai: You're
ordinary people in one way.
Host2: A rock
star that eats anago sushi, nice match!
## L'Arc~en~Ciel
performed Lies and Truth on the stage. ##
Nakai: Now,
we are going to do a survey on thoughts about local concert. We'll
all have a button, and if we agree, we'll press it, got it?
Host2: I haven't
been to any local concerts lately, I'll have to recollect the
old days then.
Nakai: Question!
When I go to local areas, I become open-minded. If you agree please
press the button. Ta~taa~

Host2: tet-chan,
why didn't you press it.
tetsu: A local
concert is not a picnic, we still have the same responsibility
on our shoulders, right?
Host2: Who
says he isn't a rockstar.
tetsu: Nooo~~
I really mean it... (he said sth about delivering excitement
around the country but I don't know how to say it properly ^^;;)
Nakai: Well,
but it'd be fun going out for sight-seeing and eating something
special of that particular place too, right?
hyde: The
food and streets are different in local places.
Host2: There's
always the fish you can only taste in that area.
hyde: Yeah
(I really love the way his face light up when come to talk about
food)
Nakai: Did
you go for special drink of that places too?
hyde: Yeah.
(everyone nod their heads)
Host2: Ummm
one draft... tastes gooooooood (making his face to show how good
it is)
Nakai: Yeah~
OK, let's move in to the next question! I'd rather arrive at the
concert place a day earlier and have a good sleep than arriving
there just in time for concert.

Host2: 3
hyde: The
vocalist must have a good rest before the live.
Host2: Oh!
because the vocalist needs lot of power in singing, right? Why
don't you try some exercise, it would also help youto have a good
sleep.
Nakai: Stretching
or sth like that. OK, next question! The real fun starts after
the live.

Nakai: Did
you?
hyde: Yeah~
but hey!! What is this? If you gonna pick on me in every question
what's the need of these button?
Nakai: However,
didn't you feel tired after the live?
hyde: No!!
I've got to play after the live, actually.
Nakai: Did
you play with girls?
hyde: Excuse
me!? (his face is so funny)
Host2: (turn
to talk with Nakai) I don't think he meant that.
Nakai: Is
that so?
hyde: After
a good concert, I've got to go for a feasfor a nice food and drinks,
that's it!!
Nakai: Oh,
you go out for a feast. Next question! Until I fall asleep, I
watch porn video (rate x ><)

Nakai: And
who else?
Host2: There
was a time I stayed at the hotel which has 5 porn channels and
if you change it, you got to pay for it when you check out, I
didn't know that and just for fun, I kept changing the channels.
When I was going to check out, the front desk told me that I had
to pay for all 5 channels! (at this point, he made his face as
if he's in shock)
Nakai: (talk
to sakura) You watched those porn channels too?
sakura: Frankly
telling, I started watching those channels as soon as I got to
my room. (everyone laugh)
ken: sakura
likes watching that kidn of stuffs.
Host2: You
like 'em, I see~~
sakura: Yes.
And if you have problem about paying for it, you just have to
pull the plug out before they start charging you and then plug
it in again.
Host2: Oh!
why didn't you say that before? That hotel clerk must have thought
that I was some kind of hentai person.
Nakai: You
pull the plug out every 30 seconds and plug it in again?
hyde: Wow!!!
that's so cool~~
sakura: I
took the plug out right on front of me and pull it out and put
it back in again while watching.
Nakai: Next
question! I know this is nothing to do with what we are disscussing,
but I spent the night with a fan.

Host2: hyde-kun!
(everyone laughed but hyde made a surprise face)
hyde: Why
do you have to picking on me?
Host2: It
wasn't you?
hyde: Noooo!!!
well, I was the one who pressed it but that was because you kept
point out at me everytime so I just want to see if you gonna say
it's me again or not.
Host2: Oh!
because I said it's you everytime so you pressed the button?
hyde: Right!
Host2: I'm
sorry then.
Nakai: Next
question! It's already 4 in the morning, I still can't find any
pretty girl to spend the night with, so.. I'll just go with any
girl who sit next to me.

Host2: hyde-kun!
hyde: What's
the matter with you? (his face is really really funny!!! ^^)
Nakai: I don't
think this time is hyde again.
hyde: I just
told you, stop picking on me!!!!
Host2: You
mean don't point out at you for every question.
hyde: I mean
stop picking on me, that makes me feel sad.
Host2: Then
who is it? (still looking at hyde)
hyde: Stop
it! This time really is not me.
sakura: (raise
his hand) I pressed it, just for fun.
Host2: This
band has funny members.
Nakai: The
new album, True is a big hit!! It's still on the top 10 chart.
Aren't you guys happy?
ken: Yeahhh!!!
Well, tell you the truth, there're syill many people confuse about
the band name and the album title, the band name is L'Arc~en~Ciel
and the album title is True. Like a few days ago, I went to buy
a ner car and gave the sellman my business card and our album,
in order to get a little discount from him. Later on, i got a
postcard telling that he sorry that he didn't know I was a guitarist
of TRUE!!!
Host2: He
got it mixed up.
ken: Yes,
he did. (after this, Nakai-san did mention about Robinson or
sth that he had the same situation but I don't knwo the guy and
his band so I'm not gonna talk about it here ^^ )
