The Exuma Community Youth Marching Band is a well birthed program that is aimed at saving the youth of the Bahama Island of Exuma. This is one of the many bands that was constructed for this purpose. The idea was brought to the forefront by the Commissioner of The Royal Bahamas Police Force- Commissioner Paul Farqueson. Afterwhich this idea was inplemented by the Royal Bahmas Police Band in colaboration of the Community Policing Department of the Royal Bahamas Police Force. As a resul, bands have now been created in a few of the family islands and is headed by Police Officers equipped with the ability to teach, arrang and write music professionally. These officers are educated with different skills throught corses and refreshment programs provided by the police band Insp. Johnson.
