Fighting Guide
Sword - One Of The Most Basic Weapons But Has Some Of The Most Powerful And Technical Attacks.

- Basic Moves -

"A" : This Involves Swinging The Sword From The Upper-Right To The Bottom-Left

"B" : This Involves Swinging The Sword From The Upper-Left To The Lower-Right

"Slash" : This Involves Swinging The Sword From The Middle-Right, Strait Across To The Middle-Left

"Downward Slash" : This Involves Swinging From The Top-Center, By Your Head, To The Bottom-Center, Bewtween Your Feet.

"Thrust" : This Involves Holding The Sword Toward Your Enemy, Yet Under Your Waist, Pull Back With Your Elbow And Your Shoulder And "Thrust" Forward, Thus Stabbing The Enemy.

"Downward Thrust" : This Involves Performing A Thrust But Toward The Ground, Therefore You Must Hold The Sword On The Other Side Of The Handle. This Is For When An Enemy Is On The Ground And You Want Put Him Out Of His Misery.

- Advanced Moves -

"Figure Eight" : This Involes Smoothly Performing An "A" And "B" Consecutively, This Will Create A Sideways 8 Shaped Figure That Is A Great Defense Tactic.

"1-80" : This Involves Jumping And Spinning In A Half Circle, You Should Be Facing The Opposite Direction After This Move.

"3-60" : This Involves Jumping And Spinning In One Full Circle.

"Finger Spin" : This Involves Spinning The Sword In Circles With Your Fighting Hand, Using Only Your Pointer Finger And Your Thumb To Spin It. With Those Two Fingers, Grasp The Sword Near The Bottom Of The Hand, Then Get A Rythem Going By Moving Your Wrist Only. Your Fingers Don't Really Move.

- Combos -

"3-60 Downward Slash" : This Involves Performing A "3-60" But Before You Land After The Spin, Perform A "Downward Slash" In The Air And Follow Through Until Your Sword Hits The Ground.

- Optional Tricks -

"Balancing Act" : This Simply Involves Balancing The Bottom Of Your Sword On The Palm Of Your Hand. After Practine You Will Be Able To Throw It Up And Re-Catch It On Your Hand, Balance On Your Fingers, And Possibly Perform The "Sword Flip."

"Handing Off" : The Correct Way, (In My Book) To Hand a Sword To Someone Is By Holding The handle Upside Down With The Blade's Flat Edge Lying On Your Arm. When The Other Person Grabs The Sword's Handle From Your Hand, The Blade Will Slide Down Your Arm.

- Stances -

"Normal Stance" : This Involves Standing With Your Goofy Foot, Foot In Front Of Your Body, then Turn Your Body Slightly Toward Your Fighting Hand, Hold The Sword With Both Hands, Let Your Goofy Foot Elbow Stick Out In Front Of You A Little.

- Very Advanced Moves -

"Thrust Release Fakie, Goofie Foot Throw Back, Catch With Fighting
Hand" : This Involves Thrusting With Your Fighting Hand But Realease The Sword When You Get To The Length Of The Thrust, This Makes The Enemy Dodge Out Of The Way Of The Flying Sword, But Before It Gets Out Of Your Reach, Catch The Sword With You Goofy Foot Hand, And Fling It Back To Your Fighting Hand. Now You're Back In Your Normal Fighting Stance, But Your Enemy Isn't!!! - This May Take Alot Of Practice But Don't Give Up, It Is A Great Move.

"Hand Off Fakie, Pop Off, Catch With Fighting Hand Under Arm" : This Involves Pretending To Hand Off With The "Hand Off" Move, But When The Enemy Comes Near, To Grab The Sword, Pop It Up And Off Your Arm By Snapping Your Arm Up and Back Down Fast. This will Cause The Sword To Fly Up, Once In The Air, Catch The Sword Under Your Arm. When You Do This Your Enemy Won't Be In A Fighting Stance So Attack Without Mercy!!! - This May Take Alot Of Practice But Don't Give Up, It Is A Great Move.
