Picture of Shellie Martin     Shellie is standing at the door of stardom and everyone who has worked with her is extremely excited for the lovely young lady, originally from Grants, New Mexico, as she moves closer to her dream of being a great and beloved country music artist and performer.

She realizes that God-given talent and family-nurtured abilities don't, alone, guarantee success in today's competitive music industry. To succeed it takes intelligence, focus, and hard work. Shellie has applied all of these consistently since becoming a professional performer. Her early years were spent singing and performing and winning the audiences of countless lounges and casinos in and around Las Vegas, Nevada.

Inspired by her singing abilities, Shellie was honored by the City of Las Vegas when asked to sing the National Anthem for the Las Vegas Thunder professional hockey team. She has opened for many major acts as well, including: Royal Wade Kimes; James T. Horn; Darryl Dodd; Brad Hawkins; John Anderson; David Frizzell; Johnny Paycheck; Ken Mellons; Johnny Rodriguez; Gene Watson; and Merle Haggard.

Since moving to Nashville in April of 1997, Shellie has been doing interviews on local & national radio shows, and has appeared on TV with Crook and Chase's "Today's Country News". She was the featured female performer with a dozen country music legends, including Merle Haggard and Johhny Paycheck, at the Second Annual Lefty Frizzell Day Tribute and Celebration in June of 1997, showcasing her love and talent for country music greats such as Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, and Loretta Lynn.

Shellie is currently touring with David Frizzell providing background vocals, plus a duet medley of past hits from David and Shelley West, including "You're The Reason God Made Oklahoma". Additionally, she is a featured soloist performing original songs from her own album, as well as favorites from her vast catalog of original, new, and classic country music songs.

Lately, she's been creating and scheduling her own tour to promote public awareness of the runaway teen epidemic through her "My Way Home" video, in which she starred, co-produced, and co-directed. Her wonderful ability to communicate through song and drama makes this video a powerful means of educating the American public in the plight of the nation's runaway children.

Shellie comes bearing the gifts of proven talent, perserverance, experience, warmth, and enthusiasm. She has held tightly to her dream to perform and entertain for as long as she can remember and feels that her hard work, dedication, and her ability to dare to dream, will enable her to make that dream come true.
