Bird found Catherine sitting down at the hotel's porch. She was calmly drinking some coffee and watching as the people were wandering through the street with their wagons and horses.
"Hey sweet, feeling ok?" Bird asked as he sat down next to her.
"Yeah, I'm fine Bird," Catherine answered.
"What Jimmy wanted with you the other day? Well both the times he came looking for you."
"Well, the first time, he wanted to talk about the shooting and the kiss." Catherine started, "And the second time he wanted to be sure that I would keep that secret. You know . . . about someone we know"
"Oh yeah, I know," Bird replied, "So you two have everything all worked out now?"
"Yeah, I apologized for the kiss, and he thanked me for saving his life. I think we can be friends now." Catherine affirmed
"Just friends? I really thought that it could be more," Bird said.
"Just friends, Bird. You thought I liked him, and I did the same, but after Jimmy and I talked, I realized that I never liked him for real. It was a mistake," Catherine explained
"Are you sure Mac?"
"Yes, I am Bird. I think Jimmy is going to be a good friend," Catherine replied as she stood up. Bird followed her while she walked into the hotel.
"Well, so now I can work setting you up with someone else," Bird affirmed.
"No, you don't. You need to stop playing matchmaker, Bird."
"I like it. It gives me something else to do," he completed as they both headed to the kitchen to see what Laura was doing.
