Catherine was at the hotel's backyard burning some papers when Bird came from the inside.

"What are you doing Mac?" Bird asked as she putted more papers in the fire.

"I'm just burning some McCann papers Bird," she replied as she looked around to make sure no one was listening.

"Why?"

"I don't want Eddie or Laura asking me questions if they find some papers with Catherine McCann on it instead of Catherine Paige," Catherine explained as she was still burning the papers.

"They wouldn't look in your things Mac, you know that "

"I know Bird, but accidents happens and they might see a paper and get curious. I don't want to take chances. What could I say to make Eddie or Laura understand who Catherine McCann is?" Catherine said as she finished putting the papers in the fire. Bird nodded. He knew Catherine was right about it. Laura and Eddie wouldn't understand.

Bird and Catherine stood next to the fire watching a part of Catherine's past burn into ashes. What they didn't know was that Laura was at the kitchen and that she had overheard everything Catherine and Bird had said.

When Bird and Catherine stepped into the kitchen, Laura was there standing next to the door in silence. Catherine and Bird looked at each other surprised. They didn't know exactly what she had heard but they knew that Laura had heard enough.

Laura stared at them and then she said, "So, Miss Paige what do you want for dinner tonight?" Laura ignored everything she heard. She didn't need to know anything else about Catherine or Bird's past, all she knew was enough for her.

"Laura, are you sure you don't want to ask me something?" Catherine asked surprised with Laura's attitude.

"I know what I need to know Miss Paige. I just want to know about dinner now," Laura's replied.

"Thanks Laura," Catherine answered, and she gave Laura a hug.

"So about the dinner?" Laura started.
