SEPTEMBER 12, 1860
Ike was sitting on the edge of his bunk swinging his legs, when something hit him square in the face. He had been watching with some merriment the scene that was playing before him. He had thought he was out of harms way, when they had suddenly stopped attacking each other and had turned their attention on him.
"There aint no way you're just gonna sit and watch, Ike," Tyson looked over to his sparring partner who was solemnly shaking his head in agreement.
They then grabbed each of Ikes legs and dragged him off his bunk. "Thats better Ike," Kid brought a pillow down on Ikes head.
Ike shrugged his shoulders and grabbed a pillow from Lous bed and one from the bunk above, he then continued to hit both of his attackers, one of which proceeded to collapse on the floor from laughter.
"Okay you win," Kid spluttered as he held his hands up in defeat, and reached down to help Tyson up. They all turned as the door opened, and Lou made her way into the bunkhouse.
"Whats been going on in here? This place is a pig sty," Lou folded her arms against her chest and waited for an explanation.
"Oh we were just having a bit of fun thats all," Tyson said as he handed her, her battered pillow.
Ike looked sheepishly at her and was about to apologize for its state when the door opened again, and Caller Bob stepped in and looked around him. "Good afternoon Fellers, I guess you know why Im here."
"Have you come to free me from this meager existence? Release my chains and unlock my cell to send me into a world of whiskey and women?" Tyson clasped his hands together and fell to his knees dramatically.
Caller Bob was a bit taken back by this display and rolled his eyes, "Your fees been paid, yes."
"Oh," Tyson said as he got up. "Dont spose you can tell me who posted it can you?"
"Nope," Caller Bob shook his head.

"Hmm, okay, I guess I should get my things then, huh? Has Jimmy been switched back too?" Tyson shrugged his shoulders.
"Not yet, but he will be. Oh and the town would like to thank you for participating soenthusiastically to raise the money we need," Caller Bob said as he shook Tysons hand. "Now if youll excuse me, I have some other business to attend to."
Caller Bob then headed out the door and was followed by Kid. Ike grinned at Tyson and patted him on the back before heading out the door, also.
Tyson stood in the bunkhouse and looked around him, "Its funny, but Im really going to miss this place."
Lou looked up from where she sat on her bunk, the pillow still held to her chest. "Im going to miss you, too," she mumbled into it.
Tyson got up from Jimmys bunk and sat down beside her, "What?"
She fought the blush that had risen in her and cursed herself. "Uh nothin."
"Its just weird. I was really beginning to feel like I fitted in here." Tyson flicked a hair out of his eyes.
Lou shrugged her shoulders, "I thought that youre one of those people who fit in everywhere and make everything look so easy."
Tyson looked at her and grinned, "Oh, thats just one of my many talents. But I would have thought that youd know that what people see isnt always the truth"
"What do you mean by that?" Lou asked defensively as she folded her arms across her chest.
"Well, people are getting fooled everyday, seeing things that arent really there and missing whats right in front of them. Like you for example, you fooled me at first, too." Tyson paused for maximum effect, then got up from Lous bunk and started to put his boots on.
Lous eyes widened as they followed him across the room. "Uh, what do you mean?"
"Well Lou, you werent exactly the friendliest person around when I first came here, in fact, you were pretty rotten. But me, being the enlightened person that I am, saw past your actions into the real you." Tyson tightened up the laces on his boot.
"Uh, the real me?" Lou prompted tensely.

"Yes, see you were just putting up walls, to test me, to see if I would be a valid friend," Tyson secured on his other boot.
"Oh," Lou sighed inwardly with relief, "I guess you figured me out then."
"Yep, I have." Tyson got up from the bunk and heaved his belongings on his shoulder. He looked back at her when he reached the doorway "Anyway, I guess Ill be seeing you around Louise." Tyson mischievously grinned as he watched her look up in shock, then he continued out the door.
