MAY 7, 1861

Sitting on a chair in front of the jailhouse, Teaspoon watched as the Marshall rode into town. He had never met Marshall Trevors before, but he had heard about his reputation. So far as Teaspoon knew, Marshall Trevors had never lost an outlaw yet.

"Good morning," Marshall Trevors stopped in front of the jailhouse. Directing his gaze to Teaspoon's badge, he said, "You must be the sheriff. I'm Marshall Trevors. I'm here to pick up four prisoners to take over to Two Forks to stand trial for bank robbery."

Teaspoon could tell that Marshall Trevors was a friendly person by the tone of his voice and the smile on his face. "Well, I have 'em locked away inside. Will you be heading back out tonight or do you want to wait until mornin?"

"I think Ill get a good nights sleep at the hotel, and then start out early tomorrow morning. Theres no real big hurry to get them there." Marshall Trevors nodded his head. "Ill see you in the morning sheriff."

Next morning Trevors found Teaspoon in the jailhouse. "Good morning, Marshall. I'll help you get 'em tied up to their horses for transfer." Teaspoon stood up and said to Kid and Cody, "Will you two go get the prisoner's horses?

Kid and Cody agreed to get the horses, and they left for the livery. Teaspoon opened the jail cells and motioned with his pistol for the prisoners to leave. The four prisoners walked out of the jailhouse with Teaspoon behind them and the Marshall in front of them. After Kid and Cody brought the horses over, they had the prisoners mount up and their hands were tied together and then the rope was tied to their saddlehorns. The Marshall mounted, and Kid and Cody handed him the reins of the four horses. Marshall Trevors thanked Teaspoon, Kid and Cody for their help, and then he left town with the four prisoners.
