Teaspoon decided that he should get Rachel something nice for Christmas. He also wanted to get Jesse something, too, so he walked over to the mercantile. Upon arrival he saw Jesse looking at some necklaces. "Hi son," Teaspoon put his arm around the boy. "Whatcha doing?"

"I was thinking." He stopped. He didn't know whether he should tell Teaspoon what he was thinking or not.

"Thinking about what?" Teaspoon asked.

Well since he had already started to say something, he decided he might as well finish. "I was thinking of buying Melissa a necklace."

"Oh!" Teaspoon rubbed his chin. "Do you think that's wise?"

"Whatcha mean?" Jesse turned to look at Teaspoon.

"I mean doncha think Michael might get mad if you start giving his girl a present?" Teaspoon waited for an answer. Jesse had been thinking the same thing, but he liked Melissa. Too bad she was Michael's girl. Jesse nodded.

"Why are you here?" Jesse watched as Teaspoon looked around the store.

"I'm here to find something for Rachel for Christmas." Teaspoon said as he went over and started looking at the bonnets. "I think I'll get her this and a bottle of her favorite cologne." Teaspoon held up a pretty sun yellow bonnet. He then grabbed a bottle of Starmist and approached the counter.

"Good choices, Teaspoon. Rachel was just in the other day and she was admiring that bonnet." Simon said as he rung up the two items.

"You know what? I think I'll get Jacy a Christmas present, too." Teaspoon picked up another bottle of Starmist.

"I heard that," Caller Bob said as he came up behind Teaspoon. "I was going to get that for Jacy. Now, I'll have to think of something else."

Teaspoon grinned, "Sorry Bob, I'm just faster." Caller Bob grinned back as he started searching the store for something for Jacy. Teaspoon saw Jesse paying Simon for a shawl and asked, "Who's that for?"

"I thought Rachel would like it. It matches the bonnet you're getting her." Jesse replied.
