NOVEMBER 22, 1860
Tally was thinking about Jacy and Samantha while he wiped off the bar in the bordello. He was glad that Jacy was back. He hadnt got to speak to her at the party because Cody had kept her right by his side throughout the night. However these past few weeks he had tried to talk to her, but she seemed to be having mood swings lately. At first when they would meet, she would be fine, but when he started questioning her about where she had been when she had left Dreamville, she would either avoid the questions or say she had just been traveling around. Then she would abruptly leave claiming she had a prior engagement.
He couldnt help but wonder where she had been and what she had been doing for the last few months that she had been missing but getting any answers from her was like pulling teeth. She also seemed to be more fidgety, nervous and suspicious than he remembered her to be. He wondered if something dreadful had happened to her while she had been gone. Trying to figure out the answers to these riddles was completely impossible. He didnt have enough facts to put two and two together to come up with any possible reasons why she was acting the way she was. Since any solutions were unobtainable at this time, he switched his thoughts to Samantha.
He liked Samantha. After she had found out that Aries symbol was the wolf, she had seemed to warm up to him a bit. They had a wonderful time at Meghans party getting to know one another and dancing. In the past few weeks Samantha and him had went riding together a few times. They both seemed to love the land and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside far better than being in town.
He knew Samantha and Jacy were very good friends, but when him and Samantha had discussed Jacy it seemed like there was something wrong between them. Samantha didnt seem to want to talk about Jacy much. He wondered why and had asked Jacy on numerous occasions if there was anything wrong with her and Samantha, since Samantha wasnt more forthcoming with answers, but Jacy wasnt any more talkative than Samantha. She simple just told him that her and Samantha were friends, and thats all she would say.
Tally had wanted to tell Jacy something, but he had been putting it off because it seemed that they werent as good friends as they used to be. He was hoping that would change soon though. He was hoping that after she had a chance to get reaccustomed to the town again that she would return to her old self. Then he would feel more comfortable explaining his secret to her. But he sure was hoping that it would be soon, because he was afraid that if he waited to long to tell her and Samantha than they both wouldnt like him anymore. But he couldnt tell Samantha before he told Jacy. He had to tell Jacy first. Jacy should understand why he had lied because she herself had lied, too. Cody had forgiven her. She should be able to forgive him. He hoped.
Something hit him on the side of the head, and he was quickly brought out of his thoughts. He turned to see what had hit him. It was his towel. He looked up and saw Elena standing nearby smiling at him. She giggled. "Its time to work, not daydream about wolfs." She smirked and then asked for two beers.
Tally picked up the towel and put it behind the bar. Then he handed Elena two beers and got back to the business at hand. He would have to wait until later to think more about Jacy and Samantha.
