MAY 8, 1860
This was only the second week that Tally had been in town. So far he had avoided the one person living in town that knew him. And so as not to be suspicious or scrutinized by the law, he had been asking around town for some work. Jacy had told him that she would need someone to help her build her house, but at the moment they were in the process of designing it first.
Tally saw the ad in the paper for a bartender at the bordello, so he decided that if he got the bartending job he could help Jacy build her house in his free time. He still hadnt shaved and decided that the beard he was growing made him look older. He didnt like it though because he was forever scratching or rubbing his chin. But if he looked older and rougher the owner of the bordello might hire him.
He entered Le Chateau and looked around. Elena saw him and sauntered up to him. Seductively she asked, "Can I help you?" She batted her eyes.
"Im looking for the owner." Tally replied.
She frowned and sighed, "Dane this man is here to see you."
Dane walked over and joined them. "How can I help you?"
"Are you still looking for a bartender?" Tally looked straight at Dane without blinking.
Dane nodded, "Yeah, are you applying?"
"Yep."
"Come on, well go to my office to discuss it." Dane said as he started for the rear of the building with Tally right behind him.
A few minutes later Tally took his appointed position behind the bar.
