ARRIVING HOME FEBRUARY 14, 1860 |
| After
helping her into the buckboard and climbing aboard, they headed back into town. They
chatted on the way back. Pulling up in front of the Jeldin Freight companys wagon,
Steven helped her down and then followed her to the wagon. Turning to face her, Steven said, "I hope you had a good time tonight?" "I sure did. Thank you." replied Prudence. Steven smiled and said, "I did too. I hope to see you around some time." He kissed her hand and headed for the buckboard. He waited till she climbed aboard her wagon and disappeared into the night, then he headed for home, thinking that it was good night. |
