INTRODUCING DEV!

At 34, Dev knew she was old to be an unmarried woman in the west, but she sincerely loved what she did and couldn’t imagine her life any other way. Besides she didn’t have time, or the patience for that matter for all the delicate finery of being a genteel woman.

Her father had known from that time that she was a little girl that she was a tomboy. He had taught her how to ride, hunt and protect herself. Oh sure, her mother had tried to teach her how to be a gentle woman and she had truly tried if only to please her mother, but she had always managed to do something wrong. She remembered with a smile the time she had gone to her mother’s tea party with all the gentle ladies from town. And not only had she forgotten to change the boots she had mucked out the stable in, but she had somehow managed to drop her delicate cup of tea in the mayor’s wife’s lap.

Her Papa had known that Dev didn’t want that life for herself. He knew that she would be happiest away from the genteel society that her mother loved so much. When her mother had died 5 years ago he had taken her completely under his wing and taught her everything he could about his business and stage driving.

It had nearly broken her heart when 12 months ago he had been killed by robbers, but she had picked up the pieces of his struggling stage business and turned it into a flourishing success. She now had 6 stagecoaches and 12 employees and business couldn’t be better. But still she wasn’t happy unless she had control of one of her stages. She was practically alone in life except for the few friends she has in the town of Dreamville. Her three best friends are Destiny, Rachel and Pru and a circle of friends that surround them, whenever she had an overnight stage stop in town.

She knew that soon she should think about settling down and having a family to carry on her business but she honestly didn’t know any men she couldn’t even contemplate spending the rest of her life with, although the sheriff in Dreamville was kind of cute.
