At the break, Elena held on to Luke's arm and chatted with him for a while. Luke looked over at Meg who was talking to her partner. He wanted to have a few minutes with his bride but that wasn't possible with the grip Elena had on his arm, sighing he turned his attention back to the young woman who was helping him. Her dress was tight and low-cut and she stroked his arm as she spoke. He wondered exactly where she had learned to square dance as she continuously stepped on his feet and once she even pinched his backside, she feigned innocence when he looked at her. He smiled at her as he listened to her prattle on about how excited she was to be in Dreamville, and he noticed the looks he was getting from Corey as well. He would have to talk to Meg about continuing this. He was a little uncomfortable, but as long as Meg wanted to do this he would.Elena couldn't believe her luck. Here she was with the one person she had longed to be near, she really had to do something to thank Vanessa for mentioning the square dance lessons and the fact that Mr. and Mrs. Saunders would be here. So she stepped on his feet a few times, but she managed to pinch his bottom and she reveled in the feel of his arms around her. Just a few more lessons and she would have him eating out of the palm of her hand. She finally managed a good look at Meghan Thompson-Saunders and from what she saw Elena knew the girl was no match for her beauty and expertise on men. Elena smiled up at Luke. Yes, she thought, I'm gonna get him.
After their break all five squares were ready to review the calls they had learned. Melissa kept a watchful eye on Charity and Elena because she had noticed that they had been having some difficulties with the calls. She thought they are Angels and should know what they are doing, but they were either smitten by the lovebug and concentrating more on smiling and talking with their partners then doing the calls.
Melissa hoped that they would snap out of their entrancement soon because though these calls were easy ones and Luke, Buck and Cody seemed to be catching on quick, but future lessons wouldnt be as easy. And you would have to keep your mind on the caller not talking with your partner.
Melissa smiled at Michael as he bumped into her doing the Dosado. This was the third time he had done it. He hadnt bumped her hard, and she was beginning to suspect that he was doing it on purpose.
Michael smiled every time he bumped into Melissa. He was catching on pretty well. He just couldn't help himself. He liked the way she looked at him. He was happy that Melissa had picked him to be her partner. He like Corey but he wasn't ready to chose yet. He
talked with Corey finding out more about her as they worked on the calls, even though he
knew a lot about her already.
Charity had picked her a good looking fella. She liked Cody a lot,
and couldn't imagine what he saw in that naieve little newspaper owner. She was older than
Cody, but lots of people told her that she looked younger. Besides why would a man want a
little girl when he could have a mature lady! She would change Cody's mind soon. No matter
what she did, as long as she was determined to do it, she had always succeeded, and this
time would be no exception.
Cody was having fun square dancing, but he wished he had been teamed up with Jacy. He felt that jealousy rising up inside himself whenver he looked over and watched Jimmy and Jacy dancing. But as quickly as it appeared it would disappear when he saw Jacy sending her smile his way. He didn't have any reason to be jealous. He knew that Jacy liked him and not Jimmy.
Charity was nice and seemed to be having a good time, Cody thought. Whenever she messed up on something she would quickly apologize by saying something like, "I'm sorry, but your charm entrances me so that I can't think of what I'm suppose to be doing." Cody would smile at her compliment.
Charity had been giving Cody compliments all through the lessons, some because she liked to see his face break out in a grin, and some because she was looking for an excuse to cover up her lack of square dancing talent. But either way Cody seemed to like it.
