APRIL 24, 1861
Lilly and Javier walked into the store as soon as they got back in town from their
Honeymoon. "Hello, Lovebirds." Simon said. "How was the trip?"
"Oh it was fine." Javier said with a smile.
"Good. You missed a lot of excitement around here."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah. It turns out that Tally owns the new train station and train here in town.
He's offering to take people to the next town and back on his train. Of course you pay for
a ticket."
"Oh that might be nice, sometime, Javier." Lilly said.
"Yeah we'll check into it."
"Hey, Lilly. Hope you had a nice time on your trip." Bythe said when she saw
Lilly and Javier talking with Simon. "Did Simon tell you about our train?"
"Yeah he did."
"Pa, I came in to see when you needed me to come to work."
"Oh just come on in whenever Lilly has to work at the restaurant."
Javier smiled, "OK! Great, thanks, Pa."
Simon smiled at his son as he left the store. Now that Javier was married he had started
to think about dating again himself. Charity seemed nice. He would ask Charlie about her
later.
Lilly walked into the restaurant and went into the kitchen to get her schedule for the
next week. While she was there, Charity couldn't help but fill Lilly in on all the gossip
about the train and who Tally really was.
Charlie had put Lilly down for working 8 am to 5 PM everyday next week. Great! I'll be
able to spend my nights next week with Javier, she thought. Lilly and Javier went home to
start setting up their house like they wanted it.
