Serena walked into her and Daniel’s room carrying a box. Laying the box on the bed next to him Serena said, "Honey why don't you give Meghan her mother's dress. I offered her mine, but she said it wouldn't be right."

Daniel looked at the box then back to her and said, "I don't know if I can give it to her. She's so much like her mother."

Sitting next to him Serena placed her hand on his shoulder saying, "Honey it would make her happy. I think Elizabeth would have wanted her to wear it. And I was thinking that as our present to her, we could pay for the bridesmaid's and Jemima's dresses."

Getting up Daniel went to the window not saying anything for a few minutes. Then turning around he said, "I think your right about Meg wearing her mother's dress. As far as the other dresses I think your right. What does Jemima's dress look like?"

Well, it will look just like Meg's only in the color of the bridesmaid’s dresses." Walking over to him she wrapped her arms around him and continued, "Honey I know its hard. But Meg's happy."

Turning in her arms and pulling her close he said, "It seems it was just yesterday that she was a baby. I just can't believe that she will be married and on her own. Elizabeth would be proud of her. She has grown into a beautiful woman."

Laying her hand on his shoulder, "I know. Yes, she's the image of her mother. Luke is a very lucky man to have her to love him. You did a wonderful job raising her."

Sitting down Daniel pulled her into his lap. Tickling her he said, "We'll be alone for the first time since our wedding night."

Laughing Serena got up saying, "Come on lets go find her. So we can give her the gown and tell her about paying for the dresses."

Daniel nodded and picked up the box as he stood saying, "Okay dear."

They walked out the door. Knocking on Meg's door and slowly opening it Serena said, "Meg, honey, your father and I have something for you."

Meg looked up from her book saying, "Oh what is it? I love surprises."

Walking in Daniel placed the box on her bed and said, "Here baby. Your mother wanted you to wear this on your wedding day."

Meg opened the box. Looking inside then back to her parents through tears she said, "Oh daddy thank you. Thank you Serena. She hugged them.

As Serena hugged her back saying, "We have another surprise for you. We are going to pay for the dresses for you bridesmaids and for Jemima."

Meg happily threw her arms around Serena saying, "Thank you. You are the best parents a girl could ever have." Then she hugged Daniel and said, "I love you both."

"We both love you honey. We just want you happy." Daniel said as he hugged her. They sat there and talked about the wedding plans.
