"You know, Teaspoon I haven't felt this way about a woman since Mairi. I even find myself telling Destiny about her." Sean was telling his old friend over lunch at the hotel.

"Well there is the rodeo coming up and then the wedding, you could ask her to be your date for those two events."

"I couldn't do that. Mairi was the only one I ever asked out." He looked at Teaspoon and then decided that it was time for him to start seeing other people now.

After lunch, he went to find Destiny. He found her in the kitchen of the boarding house. "Destiny I was wondering if I might have a word with you?"

"Oh, Sean, what can do for you?"

"Well, I was going to enter the Calf roping and the bareback riding events at the rodeo. And I was wondering if you would like to go to the rodeo with me, as my date?"

Destiny smiled. "Sure Sean I would love to."

"There is one more thing." He paused as Destiny looked at him, "Would you also let me escort you to Javier and Lilly's wedding?"

"I would be honored to have you as an escort, Rev. Dennington."

The couple smiled at each other. Both glad that they were going to the rodeo and to the wedding together.

Brianna and Jemima interrupted their parents, "Da! Da! Melissa, Michael and Jesse taught us how to calf rope and since there will be a calf roping event for the kids, can I enter? Pppllleeeaaaasssseee?" Brianna begged.

"Me too Mama. Can I enter too pppllleeeaaaasssseee?"

The adults looked at each other and shrugged. Destiny answered first, "I don't see why not."

Then Sean answered the apple of his eye, "Yes, Darling if it will make you happy you can enter the kids calf roping event."

Both children smiled and called out in unison, "Thanks we got to go practice some more now!!!"
