INTRODUCING KIMBERLY! |
|
| Both Kimberly and Tyson were put into an
Orphanage after the fire. At the orphanage she made friends with Gerald, whose parents
thought she was a bad influence and after a number of years, convinced the orphanage owner
to transfer both siblings. Kimberly ran away before the transfer and Gerald went with her. They made their way through different towns. She got occasional jobs washing windows and he got work in livery stables and stores. They were finally tracked down by Gerald's parents, and when he refused to leave with them, they made a deal with Kim, offering her a sum of money if she were never to see him again. She of course had always felt there was more to life than washing windows and she gladly accepted. Some time later she stumbled
across a newspaper article about a new town being established, she saw that the saloon was
in need of an owner and decided to take it on. On her way to Dreamville she passed through
a town called |

INTRODUCING TYSON! |
|
| After the fire both Tyson and Kimberly
were put into an orphanage. He was quite content being there, as unlike his sister he had
made a lot of friends among the other children. When he was 13 his sister ran away with
the neighbor and he was left behind. This he didn't mind as he enjoyed life at the orphanage and knew that Kim didn't. When he was 14 he took a job in Byron at the local hotel. He had intended to stay there as long as possible, as he enjoyed the work and the young ladies, but when he was 17 he was surprised to see his sister approach the desk wanting a room. After he found out her plans for a new life in Dreamville, he decided to join her. |

INTRODUCING IVY! |
|
| Ivy was born three minutes
after her identical twin sister on July 14, 1842. Their mother lived just long enough to
see and name her two beautiful babies before she passed away. Ivy always missed having a
mother, though her father tried for many years to make up for their mothers loss.
But after 15 years of raising two girls alone, it seemed that it just became too much for
him and one morning when the girls woke he was just not there. His desertion hit Ivy hard, she loved her father dearly and thought that somehow she was to blame for his departure. She would often spend the night in tears, distraught that he had left them. She was also confused at her sisters apparent hatred of her, but she was her sister her own flesh and blood and she refused to scorn her no matter how badly she treated her. After their fathers desertion they drifted from town to town, taking whatever jobs they could usually as waitresses. When they reached Dreamville Ivy knew she had found the place she wanted to call home. Especially since she seemed to have caught the eye of a handsome young pony express rider, Noah Dixon. When they had stepped off the stage, Clover had pushed her out of the way and she had tripped over the hem of her skirt. Noah had appeared at her side and helped her to her feet, helping her to brush the dust from her skirt. She was smitten the moment she looked up into his smiling eyes, it was of little consequence to her that he was a coloured man and she was a white girl, he was sweet and kind and charming to her and that was all that mattered to her. She grew even more enamoured of him when he carried her bags to the boarding house and helped her to settle in. The opinions of others didnt matter to her, just what she felt in her heart. |

INTRODUCING LARA! |
|
| Lara left Ireland with her whole family,
they were all moving over to America after having problems with the family farm. It was
Lara's idea to move to America which means she blames herself for the accident to her
father. He was killed on the ship, there was a storm and he was killed by a falling piece
of timber. Lara's mother and sister took her fathers body back to Ireland, but Lara
felt that there was nothing to go back for, and decided to stay. Lara's plan was to one-day go back to Ireland with the money that she has been able to save, but so far that day seems a long way off. Lara moved around looking for work but did not find anywhere she felt she could settle in. Lara came to Dreamville after being in America for a few months, the people seemed friendly, and it was a pretty town. Lara started her unusual routine of looking for work, she found odd jobs but nothing much. Lara was tired of moving around. She wanted somewhere she could call home, and was hoping Dreamville would be the place. But she needs a job that will last for more than a couple of days. Lara believes that you can never tell what is around the next corner. She just hopes that this time it's good news. |

INTRODUCING RICHARD! |
|
| Standing behind the bar wiping some
glasses dry, Richard watched as a few drifters strolled out of the saloon. After he was
done drying all the glasses he went to the stock room to retrieve some bottles of whiskey.
He remembered the first time he saw the Jones girl. She was with a couple of express
riders walking down the street. He couldn't remember their names. Then they came to him,
one was Cody and the other was Ike. They had just passed the saloon when a couple of
drunks came out and grabbed her from behind. The boys did a good job of getting them off
her without her getting hurt. He assumed that they were very good friends by the way they
were acting with each other. After putting the bottles behind the bar he turned to one of the waitresses and said, "I need to run down the street to the general store can you please watch the bar for a minute?" She nodded yes and he left the saloon and headed for the store. As he entered the store he saw that Jesse was there. He is the orphan that the riders have taken in. Walking up to Jesse he said, "Excuse me. Do you know the name of the girl that hangs out at the station with you all? The Jones girl?" A smile spread over Jesses face and he said, "Why yes I do. Her name is Calamity Jones. Her father owns the big ranch west of town. We are all very good friends. She is pretty isn't she? Why do you want to know who she is?" Richard said, "When I first came to town, I saw her walking down the street with a couple of the pony express riders. I was just wondering is all." Jesse looked up at him from a book he was thinking on getting and said, "Well, I should give you a piece of advice. Keep your distance from her. All the boys are kind of protective of her for some reason. If they feel like you are going to cause her any trouble they wont hesitate to hurt you. They tend to be that way with a lot of the girls in town." Then Jesse left the store. Feeling confused at what Jesse had told him he looked at the store owner who just shrugged his shoulders. Shaking his head Richard left the store and headed back to the saloon. While he poured the man standing at the bar another drink he was thinking, this is the place for me to start my life anew. Seeing how the young people get along with each other and care for each other. And maybe someday I will find love again." the man at the bar intruded into his thoughts again asking for another drink. He poured him another drink. He looked at his ring that he wore around his neck on a chain. He remembered how much he loved his late wife. They had only been married a few months when she came down with yellow fever and died." He sighed and went back to wiping the bar off and gathering up glasses. He had long for a family of his own one day. He thought that maybe he could find the right woman here in this peaceful town. |
