APRIL 4, 1860

Black had gone through another a halter. He really hated wearing those things. He would rub his head up against a tree until the halter broke. Lee would have to take him back to the blacksmith to get another made. Evidently, Black had taught Wind Dancer to do the same thing and Buck needed to take him in for another halter, too. White Wolf�s horse needed some more reigns and Lightening and Sundancer had each thrown a shoe, so they all decided to go in together to get these items.

The livery was busy that day, because the riders had to wait in line. Justin was helping Catherine and Eddie, and Dev and Kathleen were in line ahead of them. While waiting in line, Dev told them that she was getting a wheel fixed for the stage coach, and Kathleen said that she was going to get a wagon so that when she came into town for supplies, she would have a way to get them home. The riders helped Kathleen pick out a nice sized buckboard for her and taught her how to hook Ghost up to it while Justin fixed Dev�s wheel. Kathleen and Dev paid Justin and then left. Justin was then able to help the riders out with what they needed. It didn�t take long after he was able to get to them to fix them up and send them on their way

Justin thought what an extremely busy day. He hadn�t had such a busy day since he had first opened. And just when he thought his day was over, Cody came in. "Hi Justin, I need a new horseshoe for Trixsy. She threw one while on our way back home today. Can you fix me up."

"I'll see what I can do. It might take a little while though." Justin replied.

"No problem. I'll just go grab me a bite to eat at the restaurant." Cody left.

A little while later Jacy came in to saddle Braids and take him for a ride. She noticed Justin working on a very pretty horse that she had never seen in the stables before. "Is he knew?"

"Naw, she's not one of mine. She's Trixsy. Cody's horse. I just have to give her a new shoe for him." Justin said as he continued to work. Jacy rubbed Trixsy's neck and thought Cody has a very pretty horse. Trixsy nudged her shoulder, and Jacy took out a piece of sugar cube from her pocket and gave one to Trixsy. She then gave Braids a couple of sugar cubes, saddled her and rode off.
