AUGUST 25, 1860
Noah entered the store and waved at Cody as he headed over to the post office counter. Javier was talking with Blythe. "Hello Javier, Blythe."
"Hello Noah. Things okay between you and Ivy?" Asked Javier.
"Oh they are good. They could be better, but Clover is trying to break us up still."
Ivy knew Noah was in the post office and as she saw Clover she knew Clover was heading over to the post office to be with him, so she cut Clover off about halfway there. "CLOVER, leave Noah alone."
Stopping Clover turned to her sister, "Why should I? He deserves a lot better then you."
"And you think thats you!" Ivy wasnt really questioning her. She was implying that I dont think so.
With a smug look on her face Clover said, "Well yes. You got a problem with that?"
Ivy fought to control her anger, so with a snicker she said, "Well, sorry to tell you, but Noah doesn't go for conniving evil girls. So I guess youre out of luck."
Before Clover could reply Noah and Javier came out to see what was going on. Walking over to Ivy, Noah asked, "Everything okay?"
"Oh yes, everything's just fine. How about taking a walk with me?"
"I would love to." Noah replied and offered his arm.
Ivy took it and smiled at Clover as Noah led her down the street.
"How can he be with her? He could do better." Clover said to no one in particular.
Javier watched Noah and Ivy leave and then said, "She hasn't tried to trick him. She genuinely cares about him." Leaving Clover fuming about it, he turned and went back into the store.
