JUNE 14, 1860

Noah thought about what Lee had said. He knew she was right. It didn’t matter what the others thought. It only mattered what Ivy thought.

He saddled Trouble and rode into town. He found Ivy in the saloon. She was just getting off work.

Ivy smiled when she saw Noah, but she could tell something was bothering him. Walking up to him she said, "Noah, it’s nice to see you again. Is something bothering you?"

Noah couldn't help but smile at her. "You look nice today. I need to talk to you about that article." Noah said.

Ivy nodded and followed Noah from the saloon. They walked down the boardwalk.

Noah looked at her and said, "I know you didn't write that article, but I am worried about what others might think or say about you."

"I don't care what they think or say about me. It only matters to me what you think."

Noah smiled and patted her hand saying, "Well, I think you are great."

Ivy smiled and replied, "Thank you, Noah. I think you’re great, too."

They walked till they reached the boarding house. After seeing her to the door Noah headed back into town to get Trouble and head back to the station.
