THE BAKE/CRAFT/RAFFLE SALE!

FEBRUARY 14, 1860

Michael rode to the boarding house to get Jemima. He knew that he would have to ride with her and her mother. As he dismounted he smiled when he saw Jemima sitting on the porch. Even if he wished he were going with Melissa, he wasn't going to show it to Jemima. He walked up to her and said, "You look real pretty tonight."

She smiled and replied, "Thank you, Michael. You look nice tonight, too. Come on Momma is waiting for Richard and then we can go." Michael nodded and followed her into the house.

They stood there and talked awhile. Then Richard asked, "Are you two ready to go?"

Michael turned to him and said, "Yes, we are ready." They all headed out and got into the wagon.

After arriving at Caller Bob's place Michael and Jemima went to talk with friends. While talking with friends Michael slipped off and bought three raffle tickets.
