JULY 30, 1860
Michael rode into town to order some supplies for Rachel. After dropping off Rachel’s list to Cody, Michael walks over to the Silver Spoon and purchases a glass of lemonade. While relaxing on a bench outside of the restaurant and drinking his lemonade, he watches as people walk to and from places.
As he was about to take his glass inside, Blythe came out of the post office and called to him. Michael walked over to her. "Hello, Miss Blythe."
"Hello Michael, I have a letter for your father. Can you take it to him when you go home later?" Blythe asked.
"I’m not living at home right now, but sure, I can do that." Michael replies.
"Well, where are you staying then?" Blythe inquires.
"Jesse and I have switched places for that job switch that a lot of people are participating in. I’m staying at the Pony Express station."
"Oh! Well say hello to Rachel for me then, ok?" Blythe hands Michael the envelope.
Michael says, "I will, and thank you." Blythe smiles and nods. She returns inside the post office, and Michael tucks the letter into his pocket. Next he returns his glass to Charity, climbs aboard Bear and heads back home.
