JANUARY 25, 1860

Walking into the kitchen Michael saw Caly at the stove fixing supper. Placing his books on the table he said, "Hi sis. Can I ask you something?"

Turning to look at him Caly said, "Sure Micky. What is it?"

Sitting down Michael said, "Do you remember anything about New York?"

Whipping her hands on her apron Caly sat down saying, "Yes, I remember a few things. What do you want to know?"

Smiling Michael said, "Well, I need to know about a building out of state."

Thinking for a moment Caly said, "Well, I think the best memory I have is of a museum momma used to take me to."

"Can you tell me about it please?" Michael asked.

Nodding Caly thought back to the memories of all the times she used to go there.

Thinking for a moment she said, "Its a beautiful building with gold trim and big windows. There are beautiful pictures all over the walls and statues everywhere. The people who worked there are real nice. They served little sandwiches and wine. The pictures were so pretty and colorful. I looked forward to going every time. Is that what you wanted to know?"

Hugging her with a smile he said, "Thank you, sis. I knew you could help me out. Yes, it was." Then he ran outside to do his chores. Caly sat there smiling as she watched him leave. Michael was thinking that now he had something to talk about to Melissa. She was always saying how one day she would like to go to a big city and see all the spectacular huge buildings. Now Michael could tell her about one such building that his sister had been nice enough to tell him about.
