| Howdy Pardners, I would like to introduce myself to ya. I'm Marta. I've just arrived in town, and I'm going to be the waitress in the hotel. Please stop in and see me whenever you can. |
| Name: Marta Isabella Lewis Age: 16 (Unknown) Description: She has brown eyes, dark brown hair, and shes 5 5". Birth Parents: UnknownParents: Spencer and Ellen Lewis Summary: When she was about two-years-old, Marta was left on the door step of Doctor and Mrs. Lewis, with no clue to her origin except a note pinned to her dress. The note told her first and middle name, that she was two, that her mother couldn't care for her anymore, and that she hoped the doctor would be able to find a good home for her baby. The Lewis' had not been able to have any children, so they decided to raise Marta as their own. She lived with the Lewis' until recently when they died in an influenza epidemic. She came to Dreamville looking for Dr. Lewis' brother, but it turned out that her information was wrong, and he wasn't there. The hotel needed a waitress, and she needed a job, so, even though she had no experience, the owner agreed to hire her. Love Interest: None right now. |

INTRODUCING MARTA! |
| "Excuse me? Sir?" Marta tried to get the
attention of the man behind the desk. "Sir?" Teaspoon started awake, and pulled his feet off the desk. Pushing his hat up, he was able to see the young woman standing before him. "Can I help you miss?" He asked. "I'm new to town, and I was wondering if you'd be able to tell me where I might find employment?" the young lady responded, a little shyly. "You have any folks around here? You look a little young to be on your own," Teaspoon observed. The young woman didn't look a day over sixteen. She had long, dark-brown hair, brown eyes, and olive skin, so he figured she had some foreign, perhaps Spanish, blood in her. "My parents died a couple months ago, and I need a fresh start," the young woman replied. "So, how'd you end up in Dreamville?" Teaspoon asked, curiously. "Actually, I pulled out a map of the territory and picked this town because of its name," the young woman smiled shyly. "It sounds like a place I would want to live." "It is a very nice town. I'm sure you will like it here," Teaspoon agreed. "My name is Teaspoon Hunter, and I'm the sheriff here. But I'm sure you knew that from the sign on the door." "It's nice to meet you Mr. Hunter. I'm Marta Lewis," Marta held out her hand for Teaspoon to shake it. "Please, Miss Lewis, call me Teaspoon. Everyone else does, and I won't realize you are talking to me if you call me Mr. Hunter." Teaspoon paused as he thought for a moment. "I think the hotel is hiring a waitress if you'd like to apply there. It's a fine establishment, with a new owner. I think he should be at the hotel right now if you'd like to go over and talk to him. It's just down the street there," Teaspoon pointed Marta in the direction of the hotel. "Thank you, Teaspoon," Marta smiled at him as she turned to go. She quickly made her way to the hotel and walked in. Approaching the desk, she addressed the man behind it. "Sir? Are you the owner?" The man nodded. "I am. My name is Mr. Walter Simmons. Do you need a room Miss?" "Actually, Teaspoon Hunter sent me here. He said you are looking for a waitress, and suggested I come talk to you about the job." "Do you have any waitressing experience?" "Well, actually, no," Marta replied. "But I'm a fast learner and a hard worker." "Well, I am a little desperate for some help right now, so I guess the job is yours. Do you have a place to live yet?" "No. I just got into town. I figured it would be better to find a job first." "Sounds like a good idea," Walter nodded. "Besides since you're going to be working for me here, you get free room and board. You'll start work first thing tomorrow morning, but right now let me show you to your room." Marta nodded. "Thank you." She took her carpet bag and followed Walter to her room. Then she went back to the stage office to arrange the delivery of her trunk. |
