AUGUST 5, 1860

Lou with her hands folded behind her head was lying on her bunk, the top bunk above Kid's. She missed Kid. She couldn't wait until him and Joshua switched back. She loved Kid, not in the sense of boyfriend/girlfriend, but more in the way of a brother. She got along well with him, and she felt more at ease when talking with him then any of the others.

She wondered what had happened to White Wolf. She had tried to deliver Teaspoon's note to her in Broken Bow, but when she had got back there, the station master had told Lou that White Wolf had quit and left. Lou looked around town to see if she could find White Wolf, but she couldn't find hide nor hair of her.

After thinking about White Wolf, Lou's thoughts went to Tyson and his sister Kimberly. Kimberly was very pretty. She didn't seem to mind when Lou accidentally ran into her. Kimberly was a nice upstanding citizen. She couldnt say the same thing for her brother though.

She had been thinking about Tyson a lot lately. He's a very attractive boy, but she didn't like the fact that he was a lady's man like Cody used to be until Jacy came to town.

She wondered if he would like her as a girl. She looked at herself. She wasn't that attractive, at least not like the girls in the bordello. She was petite and some people even thought she looked cute when dressed like a girl which wasn't very often.

"Lou! Hey Lou!" Tyson shouted from the doorway breaking into Lou's thoughts.

She sat up and asked, "What?"

"Would you like to ride into town with me? I'm done with my chores and Rachel doesn't need us." Seeing Lou hesitate and Tyson not wanting to go alone, he offered, "Come on, I'll buy you supper at the Silver Spoon."

Well, Lou hadn't been in town for a while, and he was offering to buy her supper. Heck she couldn't see no reason to turn down a free meal. "Alright." Lou jumped down off the bunk, grabbed her gun and followed Tyson outside.

They saddled their mounts, rode into town, tied the horses to the post, and found them a table in the restaurant. They ate and chatted about their runs with Tyson doing most of the talking. He seemed to be handling the runs just fine, but he was looking forward to getting back to the saloon.

After supper Tyson teased Lou, so that finally he/she walked into the bordello with him. Tyson hated that the bordello was taking over some of the saloon's business, but then again the ladies that worked their were very beautiful. He wondered if his saloon girls would offer favors to the fellas if it would boost business. Well, right now the saloon had picked up some because of Jacy's ideas, so he wouldn't suggest that approach until they were very desperate.

Tyson ordered himself a beer and Lou a sasparilla, and then Tyson and Lou sat down at a table. Elena sashayed over with their drinks. She gave Tyson a wink and bumped up against Lou who slunk away from her. Lou pushed his/her glasses back up on her nose and then took a sip of her drink. "Tyson it's good to see ya again," Elena said as she went back to his side after being ignored by Lou. Elena was intrigued by the scrawny little Lou, but she leered at Tyson's lean muscular body as she ran her hand down his arm.

"Hello, Miss Elena, have you met my friend, Lou?" Tyson inquired before winking at Lou and taking a swig of beer.

"No, I don't think so. Hello." Elena cooed.

"Howdy ma'am." Lou said as he/she quickly looked at Elena and then went back to sipping her sasparilla.

Elena excused herself and went to flirt with other customers. "I think Elena likes you, Lou." Tyson stated as soon as Elena left.

"I don't think so." Lou replied and looked away from him.

"You know Lou I've been watching you." Tyson said and looked at him. "You're very shy. I think a night with Elena would bring you out of your shell." Tyson grinned at Lou.

Elena happened to be passing by and she overheard Tyson, "I could make you a whole new man." Elena rubbed up against Lou, and Tyson laughed.

Nervous Lou jumped up when Elena started running her hand up and down her/his leg. Lou said, "Excuse me," and then walked quickly outside with her head down.

As Lou was going out of the bordello he/she ran into a woman. He/She lifted her head and groaned. It would have to be Kimberly again. "Well, hello again." Kimberly smiled at the embarrassed Lou.

"Hey Lou, don't run off." Tyson shouted as he jumped up from his chair and was coming towards Lou and his sister. "I just thought she might be your kind of girl."

"She's not my type." Lou gruffly replied.

"Then what is your type?" Tyson asked.

Seeing how nervous and confused Lou was, Kimberly piped up, "Maybe I'm Lou's type." She sent a beaming smile towards her brother.

Lou's mouth dropped open.

"Oh yeah, right sis!" Tyson shook his head and rolled his eyes.

"Hey! Whats wrong with me?" Kimberly asked.

"Nothin, I just cant picture you two as a couple." Tyson said.

Kimberlys temper was rising, but Lou took off before he/she could hear Kimberlys reply.

After Tyson got a tongue lashing from his sister, he mounted up and rode off to the Pony Express station to find Lou.
