Buck found Jimmy in the barn, "Jimmy?"

Jimmy didn't look up from reshoeing Sundancer. "Yeah Buck, what’s up?"

"Well, Caly's birthday is Monday. Isn't Lee’s soon?"

Jimmy stood and patted Sundancer. "Yes it is. I think it’s Wednesday. Why?"

"Well I was thinking on taking Caly over to Cripple Creek for dinner. I thought maybe you and Lee would like to join us."

Jimmy thought for a moment. "That sounds like a plan. Lee could dress up, too."

On Sunday Buck rode over to Caly's. He was greeted by Steven. "Hello Mr.

Johnson. I was hoping if it was okay for me to take Caly over to Cripple

Creek for supper?"

Steven nodded, "Sure Buck. I trust you to protect her. But it’s up to her."

"What’s up to me?" Caly asked as she walked over to them.

"I'll let Buck fill you in." Steven said as he nodded and headed inside.

"I was wondering if you would like to accompany me to Cripple Creek?"

"I would love to. Let me saddle Star." Caly said as she headed for the barn.

"Wait Caly I'll saddle Star for you. I was hoping you would bring that pretty dress you wore to the Valentines Dance. Please."

Caly looked at Buck confused, "Ah Ah Ah. Yeah sure. I'll be right back."

Buck smiled and watched her go back inside. He went and saddled Star. As Caly came out with her dress and hat, she saw Buck smile, and she didn't know what he had planned, but she would love what ever it is. Putting her dress in her saddlebag. She mounted up "Ready?"

Buck smiled, "Yes But we have to stop by the station to meet Jimmy and Lee. They are going with us. Okay?"

"Sure that’s fine." Caly was glad the Jimmy and Lee would get time together.

Buck mounted up. They headed for the station.

Jimmy knew Lee was busy in the barn so he quietly rode into town. He wanted to send a telegram to Lynn and have her and Andrew meet them in Cripple Creek. As he came riding back into the yard. Lee called to him.

"Jimmy where did you go?"

"Oh it’s a surprise. Go get that dress of yours while I saddle Black, please." Jimmy gave her a smile.

Lee nodded and went to get her things. As she came out carrying her saddlebags, she smiled when she saw Jimmy sitting with Black’s reins in his hand. Taking the reins Lee mounted up, "What’s all this about Jimmy?"

"Its a surprise. Oh Buck and Caly are joining us."

"Okay let’s go."

They meet up with Buck and Caly. Caly was glad to see Jimmy and Lee. The four of them rode in silence for awhile. Then letting curiosity get the best of her Caly said. "Okay guys what’s going on here?"

"Oh nothing special just thought you would like a day away from everyone."

Caly exchanged looks with Lee. But neither said anything. As they rode into Cripple Creek Jimmy said, "Why don't you two go get a couple of rooms and change while we get lunch." The girls nodded and headed for the hotel. They each got a room and ordered a hot bath.

Jimmy and Buck rode to livery. There they got a buckboard. As Buck waited in the hotel lobby, Jimmy went to see if Lynn and Andrew had arrived. As he entered the restaurant he spotted them. Walking over to them, he said, "Hello Lynn, Andrew. I'm glad you made it."

Lynn smiled up at Jimmy, "Hello Jimmy. I wouldn't miss surprising Lee for anything."

"Well Buck and I are taking the girls on a picnic. Why don't you join us?"

"We'd love to. Where should we meet you? Girls?" Lynn questioned.

"Yes, Buck brought Caly with him. She’s spends a lot of time at the station."

Lynn smiled, "Aww right, I remember her."

"How about at the river?" Lynn and Andrew nodded, and Jimmy smiled at them and then headed for the hotel with their lunch.

Lee knocked on Caly's door. When the door opened Caly smiled, "Wow Lee, you

look great."

Lee blushed, "Thank you, Caly so do you."

"Thanks Lee. You ready? I think the boys are waiting."

Lee nodded. They headed down the street.

At the river Buck helped Caly put on a shawl. "I knew it was you when I saw it."

Caly smiled and kissed his cheek. She grabbed his hand and they walked along the river.

Jimmy and Lee sat watching the river. When they heard a buckboard drive up. Jimmy smiled when he was it was Lynn and Andrew. "Hey Lee your present's here."

Lee slowly turned around. She couldn't believe who she saw, "Lynn!!!" Lee exclaimed as she hugged Jimmy and went to meet her sister. "I'm glad you are here. I missed you." Lee said as she hugged her sister.

Jimmy smiled. He knew he had done the right thing. He loved to see Lee happy. They sat and talked for a while. When Buck and Caly walked up, the six of them chatted till Buck looked at Jimmy and said, "We better head back. I promised Caly's father I would have her back tonight."

"You're right. We better head back to town and get the horses." Replied Jimmy as he helped Buck pick up things. Then they helped the girls into the buckboard. They let the girls out at the hotel to change while they retrieved their horses. Everyone mounted up. Andrew helped Lynn into the buckboard. Lee turned to Lynn. "Come back to Dreamville with us?"

Lynn smiled. "I planned on it."

Lee nodded. They rode out. They were about half way home, when Buck noticed Caly starting to doze off. "Caly come ride with me. You look tired. I know you're not use to these long rides."

"I don't want to slow everyone down."

Buck helped her up before him. "You're not. We're use to long rides. You're not. We're half way home."

Caly nodded and climbed up in front of Buck as he took Stars reins. She relaxed because she knew she was okay. They split when they reached the SJ Ranch. Buck helped Caly put Star up and walked her to the door. After kissing her hand and bidding her a goodnight, Caly watched as he rode off.
