My Dear Martin
It has been so long since the last time we saw each other, and I miss you so much
my
son. I hope you are fine and happy, and I pray for our meeting some time soon.
I'm living in a place called Dreamville. It's a beautiful name, don't you think? Oh
my
dear son, I know that you would love to live here. Everyone is so nice and friendly.
I found a second family here Martin. I'm working at the town hotel for a young lady
called
Catherine and her friend called Bird. I feel so much like home here. It's like
when
your father was alive, and we three lived together at home.
I work with a young man called Eddie. He kind of reminds me of you. He is sweet and
polite.
He is always trying to help me or trying to make me laugh. He used to live in
Europe,
and he loves living here in the Wild West as he likes to say. I have so many
questions
to ask you. Are you married? Are you happy? Why don't you come to visit me?
I'm happy Martin. I still miss your father. I think of him everyday, and I can feel his
presence
by my side. I know he is looking after me, and he is looking after you. I wish I
could
have you here with me.
I'm sending this letter to the last address I have. I pray that you get this letter and
that
you
send me news.
I love you Martin, my son.
Your mother, Laura.
Laura finished writing the letter and headed off to the post office. Blythe sweetly as always took Laura's letter and confirmed that if Martin were still at that address he would receive the letter. Laura then thanked her, and after paying for mailing the letter she went back to the hotel. Now she had to be patient and wait for an answer.
