PRIMPING

FEBRUARY 14, 1860

Lara had been looking at herself in the mirror for about 10 minutes, and still was not happy with herself. Before she took the job at the Saloon, she never really thought twice about how she looked, but now she was always aware of the looks that she was given. Lara knew that if she had not made the pact with Kimberley she would probable ended up backing out of going.

"You just look like a normal young lady." she told herself. Lara smoothed down her dark blue dress, and re-adjusted the matching hair ribbon that Kimberley had given her.

"Well, it's now or never!" Lara said to her refection, and headed out of the door.

"OW" Lara shouted. As the next thing she knew she was sitting on the wooden floor of the landing, and Kimberley was standing over her trying not to smile. Lara scowled at her and Kim wiped the grin off her face and tried to look sorry.

"Oh, I am so sorry. I should learn to look where I am going. Wow! You look great by the way."

Lara decided the compliment made up for the fall, and smiled.

"Thank you, so do you." Lara said getting to her feet, and could not resist adding, "Couldn't do anything with your hair, huh?"

"Oh I'm so hopeless with things like that." Kim said with a red face, "Yours looks great by the way!" She added.

Lara decided that her fallen down was probably a good thing, as it had stopped her feeling so worried.

"So you ready?" Lara asked, "Lets go and have a great night, huh?" The pair made there way downstairs, both determined to have a good night.
