JULY 31, 1860

Kimberly aimlessly walked down the street of Dreamville, hoping for some inspiration for her next story. She had realized a long time ago that producing a paper was a lot harder than she had thought, but she was determined to be better at it than Tyson was at being a Pony Express rider. She smiled at the image and remembered how ridiculous he looked on a horse. Hopefully he doesnt get better at it. She thought to herself.

She was just passing the post office when she spied the shortest rider talking to Blythe.

Kimberly quietly stood just inside the building so she was out of sight and pretended to be interested at the poster on the wall. She then waited til the footsteps came closer and at the calculated time she turned around and walked forward, knowing that Lou would bump into her.

"Oh!" Lou cried out as they collided.

"Ow!" Kimberly picked up the foot that Lou had stepped on and hopped around.

"Oh my! Not again! Why do we always meet like this? Im so sorry for stepping on your foot." Lou exclaimed as she picked up the fallen mochila.

"Its okay, we should be used to it by now, dont you think?" Kimberly stopped hopping around and released her foot.

Lou smiled "Mmm, yeah I guess, so hows the paper going?"

Kimberly rolled her eyes, "Just great, I think Ive got a bad case of writers block. But tell me, how are the replacement riders doing?"

"Oh pretty good actually, considering that they havent done it for long, most of them are picking it up real well," Lou said as they walked out of the post office and started back down the street.

"Most of them?" Kimberly asked intrigued.

"Well yeah, one of them I just dont get, his flirting is worse than Codys. Lou shrugged her shoulders.

Kimberly tried hard not to let a laugh out. "I think I can guess who that is"

Lou cursed herself for not remembering. "Oh I forgot, he runs the saloon with you doesnt he?"

Kimberly realized that Lou didnt know that they were brother and sister. "Yeah, we run it together, and I can honestly say that Tyson has never flirted with me. But why does that kind of thing bother you anyway?"

Lou flushed red, "Well, his mind aint on the job thats all, um I um I gotta go," Lou stammered and rushed off in the other direction.

Kimberly looked bewildered as she watched Lou head off and didnt hear the older man come up to her.

"Ive never been one to figure that boy out. Leaving a pretty girl like you so quickly." Teaspoon said as he came up beside her.

Kimberly jumped at the sound of his voice and shrugged her shoulder "Me neither, mustve been something I said."

"Well, I saw the little show you put on before, you might not have been seen inside the post office but outside is quite a different story," Teaspoon smiled as she started to groan.

"Oh god, why do I have to make a fool of myself all the time," Kimberly winced at the memory.

"Relax, I was the only one who saw." Teaspoon paused with a gleam in his eye. "And I wont tell anyone if you do me a little favor," Teaspoon winked at her.

Kimberly leaned in closer, eager to put the episode behind her, "What kind of favor?"

Teaspoon grinned, "I want you to come to dinner with us at the station, from what Ive heard about your cooking, youll be eager to come."

"Id be honored, but just to please you, Im not coming for my own enjoyment you hear?" Kimberly grinned.

Teaspoon rolled his eyes, "Nah course youre not, Ill pick you up at six then?"

Kimberly winked back, "Cya then," she said as she headed back to the gazette.
